This vertical jump workout will help you increase your reactive ability and strength.
This vertical jump workout includes plyometrics and strength training.
This is only 1 vertical jump workout out of 36 in the Vertical Jump Truth dunk training system.
The Vertical Jump Truth Workout.
1 Leg Up and Down and Side To Side Jumps 4x15-20 reps
Side To Side Basketball Jumps 4x6 reps
Jumping For Max Height and Dunking Until Performance Decrease
Rhythmic Lunges Jumps 4x6 reps
Short Distance Sprints 4 times
Barbell Jump Squats 4x5 reps
Barbell Squats 5x5 reps
Barbell Lunges 3x6 reps
Calf Raise Machine 3x20 reps
Do not do this workout more than twice a week.
Get at least 2-3 days of rest between workout days!

I'm 5'9, I used this training it really worked for me. Before I could only tap the board but few weeks later of training I can now almost touch the rim. I'll keep training till i can really dunk the ball. Thanks Max P!

My lifting workout is almost like this and after a month of training I gained 2-3 inches. Im 5'11" 18 and cant dunk yet but I will soon.!

+Thats Some Illuminati Shit There are bodyweight equivalents of most barbell exercises. Google "bodyweight workout", "bodyweight exercises", etc. btw, avoid using machines (unless you have very good reason) because they allow you to "cheat" the movement, thus not getting the full value of it. If you use them, consider them more as cooldown exercises.

Jason Roberts When I started vertical jump training I had no jumping ability. I could barely touch the backboard. Bur after using special exercises for jumping higher from my dunk training system I was able to start dunking with ease of 1 foot and 2 feet. I was NEVER born with good athleticism so I had to work for every single inch of my vertical jump and now I enjoy helping other people achieve their dunking goals because I understand what its like to want to dunk. I just tried playing basketball for the first time in years. I can squat 405lbs for reps, but I couldn't jump like in highschool. I could get about 14 inches over the rim, now I can barely dunk. Guess I'm just so much heavier now. Anyway, I want to see if I can get back to my old vertical at the same weight. The challenge is on.

Kirigaya Kazuto 1.-You should do it twice a week and depending of how high do you actually jump maybe it will take more time or less time. 2.-Yes but only the part that you use the weight.

Cristian Dims When you are jumping lower and you are not jumping as high then stop doing that exercise. Someone help me...I'm 5'7/5'8 I'm 134 about to start sophomore year I just started trying to dunk. Start of summer I couldn't even dunk on 8/8.5 now I'm dunking on 9/grabbing 9.5 I set a goal to be dunking October 31st . I've been doing box jump, leg press on 130lbs, ankle weight, backboard touches etc. what do I need to get that .5 inch to dunk? Someone help please

Hey im 16 and about 6'2 and im currently doing calf raises and jumping squats ,but it just won't work for me . I'm also a bit overweight and my leg muscles aren't that strong 2😅 ,but i realy want to dunk cause that'll help my shooting problem and dunking is awesome 😎 . So the question how long is it gonna take to dunk and how much should i do exercises in a week and how much?

work on your cardio to loose all the fat. If you really want lots of muscle on legs do leg press 2 plates of 45 pounds and do 3 sets of 40

If you wanna increase in anything, physcally or even mentally you have to out in work and time and effort. You could not be seeing any changes because when workout you dont go to the point of "not being able to do any more reps." This means you dont go your hardest and if you dont do that you sre simply "maintaining your health" and not "increasing your physical ability." So try to do a full workout hit your legs 1-2 times a week and make sure you get proper nutrition to build up strength and muscle.

Im 14 5'9 & i need 4 more inches to dunk on a 10 foot rim, Only thing i fear is that i would probably grow more even tho in basketball terms being tall is great i dont want to grow past 6'0. Will i grow taller? Already hit my growth spurt btw

+Maks P The Truth Dont ever do any high impact movement with your spin loaded, that is just begging for injury. Use dumbbells and hold them by your sides or one dumbbell in front of you close to your chest. You can even use a kettlebell or medicine ball.

Do you have to be able to squat 1.5 Times your body weight to do plyometrics or is it just for deadlifts? I can squat 1 time my body weight but I can leg press more than 1.5. Also great videos and keep up the great work

I guess my vertical is natural because I started dunking when I was 14 as soon as I hit 5'10. Pretty amazing to me. My friend 6'3 but can't dunk. I think it has something to do with body fat, genetics, and plyometrics also. Not just leg work outs.

I use to do my legs a lot but people don't know its a muscle to weight ratio you need to have to dunk. You also need upper body strength and a strong core. It's not all about legs

how about go ass to grass on your squats then you won't need to do lunges.also I like singles doubles and triples better than 5-6 on squats for more explosive work

high reps are meant for accessory movements like glute ham raise/lying hamstring curls(they carry over to your deadlift better than seated leg curls more specific to glute ham raise) they all build the smaller muscles i don't go heavy on lunges or accessory work if I don't deadlift I'll do a hamstring curl squats n deads is all you need

+tung vu In reality. Anyone close to 6 feet should be able to dunk with a little bit of work. The farther you get away from 6 feet, doesn't make it impossible. Just requires a little more extra work. If you can squat ass-to-grass, 1.5x bw+. around 6 feet tall, you should be close to dunking, or dunking. The shorter you are, get that number closer to 2x+ bw, and add some plyometrics, and it will be possible. Taller, non dunkers, can usually get to the 1.5 point, and dunking in like 3-6 months. Shorter/Heavier people may take longer, closer to a year plus. If you are short and heavy, it will take a ton of work, but doable, assuming you don't have any major health issues, or deformities.

After trying many plans and not one of them working, this vertical jump training “takom fetching network (G0OGLE it) has been my savior. Touching the rim was all I could do fourteen days ago and I really felt ashamed over it. Now I could dunk and all my buddies are surprised at the swift transformation! .

Ryan Comito Exacstly bro. Plus I was not born with jumping genetics like all these other KZbin freaks of natural dunkers. Those dunkers will just say oh practice jumping and you will dunk which will not work because we do't have genetics like them. I am just like 99.9% of the people watching who have dreams of dunking. I had to work for every single inch of my vertical jump and want to help the average people like us dunk.
