I love this old song, I sang the chorus to my kids since they were little and they didn't think it was a real song. Now that I've found it I can prove it's real. Yippie to Patti. Lolol

My mom doesn't understand why I like novelty music so much, but I remember her singing this to me when I was a kid.

I played this for my wife today. It was the first time she ever heard it. She says she's going to teach it to one of her singing students. The legend lives on! If you like this song look up: "Swamp Witch Hatti" and "I Don't Like Spiders and Snakes" Does anyone else remember the one glorious summer that Jim Stafford had his own variety show?

Spiders & Snakes was Ralph & David Bellamy's first commercial success

Had a lady friend back in the day and her name was Patricia, Patty for short. I played this song for her in an ice cream shop. Damn, I loved that girl.

Stafford was/is a comic genius. I was a DJ back in the early 80s at a country station. LOVED playing this. Much better than "Beers to You".

Don't think I'll ever get the image of Jim singing this in the movie "Any Which Way You Can". He was sitting in a saddle with only hat, boots and underwear on as he sang it. I think maybe Jim's smoked some 'Wildwood Weed' in his time.

They did this song in the country music show at Kings Island in the early 80s. We had to listen to it 5 times a day 6 days a week all summer because we were located right next to the International Showplace.
