My younger brother served and while he wasn't out on the battlefield himself he did find the enemy and give the coordinates to bomb. It really messed with him and while he's adapted fairly well over the years to being back in civilian life, he still has moments where he talks about the feelings of guilt that he says he will live with for the rest of his life. So, my heart goes out to you man. Thank you for your service.

I'm so glad you got a chance to express yourself. Dont hold back, you need to speak it and we need to hear it. I'm not military but went through multiple traumatic events and sometimes I'm OK, but sometimes I just need to talk about it again. Sometimes it's just repeating things I've already said but sometimes a new memory or perspective comes out and it helps me and my loved ones. Church is a big part of recovery but small groups where you can express things with other men face to face as well as bringing God into your EVERYDAY life is when I truly started healing. Thank you for your honesty. I believe it will help others like you.

Great reaction! Thank you and anyone who knows. I'm an old man who has been through way more than most, who shed tears along with you. Just going to church won't truly heal. God isn't worried about you being good, He wants a relationship with you. He hurts when you won't talk with Him, just as any good Dad. Being good with a righteous mind comes later when you build that relationship and get closer with Him. Then when you start trusting, you'll be surprised to know that He talks back. But you have to learn to trust in that inner voice, and act on it
