This is what I think every time I see these builds. They're beautifully executed and are great mines of ideas, but the context is unrealistic unless we're to believe that there is a stone wall and trench just off camera.

The troll friends is not aiming for your house, they're aiming you, your friends and your animals. You're just running out of a fragile building, and either into sturdy one, or just running around for 1.5 mins. As an insurance during my build, I created a stone circle with shooting platform somewhere 20 meters away. Never used it, though.

That's why I built my base on the stone spires in the plains no enemies ever show up not even deathsquitos and I'm right next to a tar pit with loves bathing in it or that's what it looks like

Thanks a lot brother, lots of good inspiration and ideas I've never thought of before. I learned a great deal as well, how some simple beams are capable of separating a huge hall into different bits of perfectly sized rooms, how tables and chairs are always good fillers for that extra level of cozyness, the difference a tree or 2 can make to the outside, as well as that 3 Beam Fence. Once again, thank you, I'm trying to get some friends to buy Valheim since thus far I've had to experience this great game by myself, and if we do make a map, know that we will live in a home worthy of the name, thanks to you.

I built this simple house today as an inspired version in-game and close by another inspired version of the Docks vid you also did in meadows. The Docks recreation was a mixed version of sorts of your Docks from Vid and the one from NotGerald Blacksmith Dock I combined together in inspiration build. And it's a lovely house. What took me the longest was exactly deciding where exactly to build the house as I couldn't quite decide at first, but eventually decided close to the docks but not too close. Enjoyed the interior decor of the house in the vid.

Lovely work :) You've given me some ideas on my next builds. About my only criticism would be the interior work spaces, especially the inside forge. You wouldn't work with hot metal and the resulting noise and mess in the same place you eat and sleep. And the storage in the place is a bit haphazard for survival use, although that probably depends on the style of the person using it. I do especially love the use of paths outside to define the outside of the house and give it some extra contrast with the surrounding countryside. using the wood fences and placed grass to narrow them was very clever too. I'm definitely stealing that.

Do you disable smoke in your games? Whenever I use wall sconces or hanging braziers, they make tons of smoke and in this you used a *lot* of them without any smoke showing at all. A good half of what I find I need for decent house design is smoke management, so I'm wondering if that's the case, since I see no smoke from your wall torches.
