Came out really cool. Would be neat if you added some turbulent displace to the main hand right at the edge of it when it reaches in.

Omg.. normally, I do not comment anything. First of all, I thought ‚yeah, let‘s watch this… nice explanations.. looks nice.. hmm better.. okay, really not bad.. oh, well, didn‘t expect this happen.. so good! How can you make this even better??‘ And at the end, didn‘t believe that it was that brilliant! Why the heck do you have so few followers???! Needed to get rid of that. Now I will share it to the world!

Wow, great tutorial! You are awesome! I absolutely thought this effect was something you could only do with 3D. But no, you've shown it can be done with native After Effects, even without supercomp I guess as AE still has displacement. 1:17 is AMAZING! Must be a morph, I guess?

setting matte choker's choke 1 to a negative value then using choke 2 to constrain the choke to the mask's edges?? These are the little tidbits I watch these for! I don't quite understand why that works that way but I'll take it!

A lot simpler just doing this in blender.. add a plane, subdivide, a wave modifier. Done. 🎉

Two separate takes and a clean plate First with him holding the phone (screen off pointed to the camera), second take with him talking into the camera pretending holding the phone in front of a green screen. Remove green screen background and clean up and issues with the help of the clean plate. Comp the merged footage on the empty screen ..done

I'm trying to find a movie I watched a long time ago on TV. A girl finds an empty house and finds a mirror behind a cupboard or door. She's able to pass through just like Dorothy in A Wizard of Oz. I thought it was alice in wonderland but it seems it isn't.

Would this be essentially the same for walking into shallow water just rotated? I watched an anime trailer kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJSXeHR_nsxsnbs and at 0:23 she walks into water on a step, I was wondering how a similar effect could be achieved in real life? :)

There are always a multitude of ways to do an effect. This is certainly one way.
