Back then games are still being mined that most of the direction is lead by the game creators themselves but now, knowing that there is infact gold in gaming, the corporations made sure to take the lead while the creators follow without resistance.

This rendition is so good, I come back to this about once a week (for the last 3 years). There is something so moving about the music of Chrono Trigger/Cross. I'll be honest, I never played Trigger as a kid (I did with Cross tho, and I always let the whole intro play every time), so I'm not quite sure if its just tingling my nostalgia or not. No... its the leitmotifs, the rises and falls, how the composition resolves at the end, it all seems to twang a deep deep DEEP cord in my soul. It chokes me up every time, even now trying to explain it. It's like the music echoes the epic-ness of the story behind it, it seems to marry the hauntingly vast emptiness of eternity with the staggeringly beautiful importance of BEING, of cherishing the moments within the flow of this phenomenon we call time, for this brief hyphen of consciousness we experience between the maternity ward and the grave.

@Atamastra3 жыл бұрын
@@HighFalutinTootin I should clarify, I did not have the childhood nostalgia tingles for Chrono Trigger because I didn't play it as a kid, but I did play it as an adult. Many times. My entire childhood right here - playing on a rainy Friday morning, classes suspended, my two younger brothers glued to the old CRT as much as I am - the scent of fabric softener wafting in the living room as the clothes were hung in a makeshift clothesline in the garage. Who knew that moment would be all but fleeting. Now I heard this again, a tear on my face, as I fondly remember the days that went by playing the game, having Serge explore that world and all the colorful characters we had recruited together.
