Really long road trips would be much less enjoyable if we paid what you do for fuel. I just checked current prices, and once you convert capacity and currency, you are paying an average of $6.96 for a gallon of gas, where our average today is $3.15. I love a good road trip, but I wish we had better public transport so we had a viable option for long distance travel.

One relay trick that I do when those old relays go bad is just convert it to the newer style Bosch 5 pin relay. They're very cheap, reliable, and readily available. You can even buy the pigtails at some part stores. Either splice it in and get rid of the old relay all together or get a small pack of 1/4" male flat terminals and you can plug it in without cutting into the factory harness
@majcrash3 жыл бұрын
They also make a 75 amp 4 pin that might be better here. You try to roll all 4 of those monsters up at the same time, and you might burn out that 40 amp 5 pin.
@c117ls73 жыл бұрын
@@majcrash the 40 should do it but you won't have much room left over. Id say they draw about 7-8 a per window so about 30 then have a spike of 40 when the windows go all the way up. That factory relay was probably only rated for 30a

Fender skirts were present and a kinda tall fella and a fellette could almost strettttttttccccccchhhhhh out in the back seat for a "nap!" That rig would get up to 90 without even trying. The best riding car I've ever been in, seemed like you were literally floating down the road at 90+ (sorry dad!). Looks like the Hot Rod Power Tour was awesome!

Glad to meet you, keep up the great work! A family man who works with his hands is an inspiration and a mirror to my own life.

1970 Sedan Deville is like a boat. Fun to look at and cool if your buddy has one you can ride in.

Back in 82’ my friends and I took a road trip in 70’ Caddy to Kings Dominion Park West Virginia. On the the way out we caught a flat in the dark. When we got home to Upstate NY we found the tire iron on the roof, didn’t move.

Thank you for the family trip. With everyone stuck at home it's great to get out, even virtually.
