VICE is brilliant for starting "Fightland." Just like their parent VICE, Fightland beings us such high quality and personal documentaries and videos covering unique subjects from the world of combat sports; no other fight related media presents us with anything close to as fascinating. I especially love this episode of Fightlan Meets. I never knew of Brookins but I now have much deeper appreciation for this fighter and his journey. I love how his discussion about his move to India to study Yoga and how that has affected him and changed his entire outlook on life. Hopefully Brookins finds tremendous success in MMA and maintains his happiness and general well being. Yoga is definitely a very useful practice for combat sports as it teaches proper breathing, endurance, mental clarity, and of course flexibility among other things.

The most inspirational video I have seen in while. I like his prinicpal of having a measuring tool and a growth tool. I feel most people don't establish this and they bounce from thing to another without any fulfillment or passion. I wish this guy all the best. Peace.

+Dawud G Delves I agree bro :) at what point did he mention having a "measuring tool"? I only heard him talk about fighting as his growth tool
@delvesdg9 жыл бұрын
iamactuallyover18 He describes his yoga as a measuring tool @ 5:55. Actually he says "measuring stick". Please allow me to paraphrase.

Wow fightland u guys are amazing. Keep up the great work. Plz show more of this guy. It ended with me wanting more I'm a fighter and a practice jiu jitsu and people think that's all I'm into. Seeing a fighter so respectful n cultured hit so close to home. People think were jus apes but were so much more than that. Amazing work. Thank u

I love this guy and i think he is very talented. When he fought Aldo he took a beating but you could tell he has the heart to improve and eventually become a champion. The only problem (my opinion based on what he said on some interviews) is that he need a more strict and disciplined routine, military style.If he did that, i'm sure he would fight his way to the belt in UFC someday.
@yaakw10 жыл бұрын
Hoping he can do it without the military approach. Kind of like the old movie: "Tribes" with Jan Michael Vincent. JMV peacefully beat the military at its own game, then moved on.

How funny. Most people around the world look down on india yet some lives are so much benefitted from this country. Yes we too have our limitations, everybody does and so has every country. Movement,yoga , flexibility etc can be traced down to our roots. Do yoga the way its done not in some shit western style involving beer and goats.
