I never had a Champion but I have EDCed my Swiss Champ since I bought it new in 1985. It has saved my bacon many many times !

I’ve had an old SAK from the 70s and until now I could never figure out what it was. I now know that it was a Champion C. Thanks so much. I still have it!

Awesome review. I just picked up a Champion 3 for $20AUS. It needs a good clean and a set of scales but then it’s good to go.

BRILLIANT!!! I know your claim of not being an expert, but your videos show your passion for the history and legacy of SAK's. thanks for the entertaining videos.

Looks like I've got the C model. I got it some time in the '80s, right after "MacGyver" came out (big surprise!). I wanted the biggest one they had, and that was it. I still remember, it cost me $40. I still have it. The leather sheath (with steel) broke a long time ago, but I just found a new one.

My EDC is a Champion Plus and is my favorite of all my SAKs. In my opinion it has the perfect combination of tools while still being comfortable to carry in the small watch pocket of my jeans. The modern Swiss Champ is just too big for me with the the pliers.

The long nail file is always on the same layer as the scissors and always with scissors that open the same end as the main blade. Just today I received a fairly late climber (4-turn corkscrew, small 'v' in Victorinox) with the long nail file. Beautiful knife.

Just picked up a Champion C for really cheap. I’ll clean it up and sharpen the blades. Glad I found this video to help me see the differences in the models. : )

Excellent video and very helpful identifying my SAK champion i just scored on Ebay with the magnifier so now I know it’s the Champion C! Cant wait to get it in as its my first SAK with more than 3 layers and looks to be in very good condition and for a good price to boot.

Nice video. I bought one in Madrid while working in a village on the outskirts back in 2001. The scales are pretty " beat - up " now as you'd say in America. I've ordered new scales for it and tweezers ect. The rest is still in perfect condition after years of use.

I have the newer Swiss Champion Plus with parcel hook, wood chisel, sewing hole in the awl, push pin in the red scale near the corkscrew and came with the micro side slot screwdriver that screws in the corkscrew being some of the differences.. Just got it last week, its just a gorgeous Swiss Army Knife!

Don’t give up, they pop up on eBay pretty often. Are you in the US?
