This reminded me of the gameplay videos that Justin and Griffin did at Polygon. (They did more than just Monster Factory and Awful Squad, btw). I haven't laughed this hard in a while. I am loving Victory McElroyale in general. Sea of Thieves was pretty good, too, but it was starting to be less funny as they got better at the game. That game is fun to play, but it's stream poison.

i remember this game. i. REMEMBER this game. seeing those shoes, the board shape, the specific flavor of the play screen combined with the music and the pencil movement, all of it eerily familiar in a way that’s almost artificial. i remember this game. i’ve played this fucking game and i know it with a surprising amount of certainty considering the fact that i forgot it existed for almost 20 years. i was probably 5 the last time i played this. i feel like an Anticipation sleeper agent. i’m simultaneously drawn to it and threatened by it because it came from a time when i was barely cognizant. i feel a very subtle and specific kind of dread. or maybe… anticipation.

i'm mostly bedbound atm and i've been struggling bigtime trying to find longer stuff i can focus on cos i'm having to take a way lower dose of my adhd meds for a bit (haven't been able to focus on a single movie yet lol) and this video has now made my day unbelievably more bearable. this is gonna sound weird + corny but i think there's something about the fact that i know you guys' voices so well (since i've been listening to + watching mcelroy fam stuff for... over a decade now yowza) that means i always have an easier time focusing on stuff you do, and i have no way of expressing how important that is for me in times like these when i can barely do anything even just around my own house. yes i know i'm being excessively sappy in the comment section of a video of three strangers playing old video games, shut up. thanks boys.
