In this videos I show you how the crank sprocket must be installed as an assembly and how the timing belt alignment could be challenging especially when your wife starts asking a bunch of unrelated questions. lol!
Also towards the end of the video I show the timing mark position of the crank sprocket and it is in the wrong place. FYI

I had trouble on my sport 3.0 with the balancer bolt coming loose . Bought the right tool and 135in lbs. It's been good, but without the tool it's a no go!

Just RTV the covers what I did , I used red rtv, worked great , just did a timing job on mine but mine is not running good, it wasn't before either, multiple misfires

Do you think the valves were hurt when the spring loaded cam turned? 😫😫😫

No, it only turned small amount.

Hola buenas como estas compa, una pregunta yo tengo una montero 2003 que gira el starter pero no prende ni crank , tu saves si estos carros tenian anti theft o alarmas silensiosa no se si se desconfiguro la llave , o si es algo mas como el crank sensor pero me parece como anti theft.

Hola amigo, normalmente cuando la llave se desprograma, el motor enciende pero se apaga en un segundo. Si el motor da marcha pero no enciende, entonses lo mas probable no es una llave desprogramada. La causa puede seer varias otras cosas como: falta de combustible, combustible contaminado, no chispa, baja compresion, mal tiempo etc...

Hi, yes, I do the pretension step on video #12. It took me many tries to get all the marks to line up properly. Cheers man!

@@jime.angulo4151 can you explain what preloading means? I'm still confused..is it adding more resistance to the pulley since that pulley(cam?) is not affixed but movable?

@dapperdan7997 Yes, preload means you add tension to the tensioner pulley (39inch pounds) before locking it down, and then the tensioner takes over and maintains proper tension. The pin will spin freely when you have proper tension.

@@jime.angulo4151 and that is because the tensioner pulley is not anchored to an unmovable part and can move a little, correct?

@@jime.angulo4151 also good the crank was a little behind as you demonstrated is the neutral point of TDC and valves.
