I don't understand one thing about Vidura. He was born on earth as a result of sage Mandavya's curse on Yama. This means that Yama's soul had to have disappeared from where he originally was and confined within a mortal human body who eventually became known as Vidura and was trapped inside Vidura till he died. Then how was Yama able to test his son Yudhishtra during the Yaksha Prashna?

Avataras of Devas don't necessarily work like that. One Deva can take multiple Avataras at the same time. Rama and Parashurama, and later Parashurama, Vedavyasa and Krishna coexisted at the same time.

@@kshatrapavan But none of those avatars were due to curses. It was just Vishnu taking avatars to establish dharma and some of them being alive to meet each other. Vidura's case is different in that he was cursed to be born as a mortal on earth. If Yama was able to appear independent of Vidura, then that would mean that the curse has failed in its purpose. Somehow I doubt that.

Vidur couldn't be King because he was not born in noble class...Yes Vidur was Avatar of Dharma and so is Yudhishtira... So no wonder why he always wanted Yudhishtira the king of Hastinapur... So logic says that Yudhishtira is son of Vidur

This is the absurdity of Hindu belief of reincarnation! No one can become anything by his own effort, devotion and worship! He is born because of not fault of his! No one can rise and become wise by his own effort in this world! Vidura was great because of his previous birth! And rarely anyone can remember what crime he committed in previous life! Bhisma was great because he was demigod ashwinikumar in previous life! Most ridiculous belief system! Charvaka opened our eyes!
