be great for blinding receivers up, got the v1, just ordered the v2 👍
@CurryKitten4 жыл бұрын
I hadn't thought of that - but the most difficult thing about the bind is usually getting the battery plugged in with one hand whilst keeping the bind button down. Easy when it's just a switch

Fantastic review, Wayne! 😃 I definitely need one of those!!! Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Most definitely - I use them on all builds now, saves that stupid little misconfig you might have missed

Just got the v2 and this is worth the money, already fried one fc. Wish I had this earlier in the game!
@CurryKitten Жыл бұрын
I've fried more than one - it's incredible how easy it is to make a mistake and not notice it. I always use this now when I've soldered something new up

Enjoy it (if you can enjoy this sort of thing) very useful when building, or indeed when binding an rx (as people keep mentioning)

Great review 👍 I need to get one

You should - especially if you are doing new builds. That first plug in of the lipo isn't so scary :D

Is there any difference using a regular multimeter?
@MCsCreations4 жыл бұрын
Always use a multimeter either way. But sometimes the multimeter alone doesn't get some mistakes... For example, the other day I blew up a capacitor... I did test with the multimeter and everything was fine. 😐
@CurryKitten4 жыл бұрын
As far as doing a continuity between you +/ battery terminal no, but some short/issues can be more subtle than that. I see this as a quick/simple way to test that things seem ok. If not, then you need to break out the multimeter and track down the issue

May look the same.. but some worthwhile improvements over V1 model... How's the leg holding up!
@CurryKitten4 жыл бұрын
Yes - a recurring theme seems to be how useful this will be for doing binding. Legs still painful, but hopefully it's getting a little better everyday, thanks

Can you also use it as an xt30 to xt60 adapter for testing purposes?
@CurryKitten4 жыл бұрын
Good question Steve. I hadn't thought of that, but I just did a test by plugging in an XT30 lipo and then connecting the other end to an XT60 based quad and it powers up, so yes

ıt just cuts off when i give some power on the motors. my setup is 2207 supernova motors 65a esc and 6s lips. I select the three yellow led set for low sensitivity and high current and 2 amp mode. ıt works but when i put on the throttle it cuts off. why do you think it is happening
@CurryKitten2 ай бұрын
I think it's drawing too much power and so it shuts off. This is really for making that first connection. It will cut off instantly if there's any shorts generally. If the power on test is good and you want to run the motors, take the Shortsaver off

Some handy updates in v2, but at least not a game changer
@choppergirl4 жыл бұрын
I plugged an XT60 battery in backwards into my quad and completely fried my ESC. That's not suppose to happen but surprise surprise, in one second there goes a $50 ESC.and destroyed my brand new quad. Really turned me off to this hobby. I bought a new ESC, but not really thrilled about completely tearing down a brand new quad because of this BS. So anyway I bought two of these V2 smoke stoppers. The instruction book as always is impossibly small to read. I'm going to have to throw it on a scanner and blow it up like 600%. Between slogging through OpenTX and Betaflight for months, the DJI goggles just blowing total chunks, and blowing up a quad on the bench because of the p1ss poor design of the XT-60, I'm like, can this hobby suck any worse/ Yeah, probably.... wait until I lose this d@mn thing in a lake or a forest... :-/ I'm way past thinking this hobby turned out to be a total waste of time and money.

I've gone through all my subscriptions and turned off all notifications, they now come hours late at best but sometimes days late and are just an irritating feature now.

They certainly aren't performing the task KZbin suggests they should do
