In addition to ensuring that all of her girls received a proper burial, Major Rachkevich had another reason for seeking out their remains; Stalin's Order 270 marked any MIA as a potential traitor to the Motherland and denied them any military honors. She located the last wreck site in the fall of 1974 and passed away just a few months later, having succeeded in her goal.

Love that you showed the names of these brave women at the end. I read through all of them and it kinda made me want to salute, and I'm neither Russian or in the military in any way. It was just that damn powerful together with this amazing song. I'd say they were braver than the men. The men had proper gear, likely a lot more support and money thrown behind their regiments and most important of all, well functioning, modern planes that wasn't held together with wood, strings, cloth and faith. These women weren't just soldiers, they were every day superheroes in my opinion.

To be honest, their planes weren't allowed to fly the Victory parade, while some members of this regiment attended the parade "by feet" And, yes, many adult men. especially ones conducted real military duties can't hold their tears. We were educated in such manner: "women and children must be protected at any costs". And that's why we may cry seeing the death of the servicewoman - we feel kind of guilty that we, the men, strong and powerful, could not save this tender one...

That part about Komissar Rachkevitch finding the resting place of each one of her girls always brings tears to my eyes too, Viking. Btw, the victory parade was a warning to the western allies as much as anything, featuring the biggest and baddest gear the soviets had. The IS-3 tank really did the trick, it scared the sheite out of everybody. The USSR of course neglected to mention it wasn't fit to be fielded and would remain so for years, lots of teething problems... 😁😉

Another sidenote: they carried NO parachutes, and most of their KIAs were just burned alive in their burning planes. Mrs, Rashkevich's order "DO WEAR THE PARACHUTES ON MISSIONS" was mostly ignored: the fate of parachuted pilots on enemy's ground wasn't very pleasing. And you may imagine the fate of the parachuted lady-pilot... It could be much worse then the fate of male pilot. That was the "Russian feminism" in its purity: "woman can and should defend her motherland!"

"Heilung" is a German word meaning "healing" in English They use human and other bones as instruments As instruments, items are used that may have been already available to humans in the Iron Age, such as drums, bones or spears. Even before the Second World War, Stalin introduced gender equality in the USSR. So the men didn't really dominate. Both men and women fought and worked together. And sometimes children. Some of the children are presented to the stars of heroes of the USSR.This is the highest state award. And whether these women were proud of themselves or not, I do not know. I only know that we are still proud of them and will be proud of them. Like all those who fought for our homeland and without whom we would not be in the world.Every May 9th we organize a military parade in their honor. And we go to the parade with photos of our grandparents.Who died and who returned home. The USSR lost 27 million people in World War II, of which 8 million were soldiers, and the rest were civilians killed by the Nazis in accordance with their misanthropic ideology.

If I absolutely can't find fault with the lyrics of Sabaton's songs, then their historical videos (namely those that talk about the USSR) are either full of stupid fakes from anti-Soviet propaganda during the Cold War, or they are silent about important facts.Somewhere more, somewhere less, but all this creates the wrong impression for those who watch it.
