I do hope that someone lets us know the name of this wonderful young lady we've been seeing recently! And I also hope to see her in many more videos ahead! She brings such a bright, sunny feeling to the team! I've also enjoyed the few videos that she's done with the other ladies, but her appearances with the guys in a couple of recent videos have been the my favorites! In America, these dumplings are also called potstickers. The name comes from the way they're prepared, by putting both water (or broth) and some type of oil or ghee in the pan you cook them in. You cook them by allowing the liquid to evaporate as the potstickers "steam", til there is only the oil or ghee left behind in the pan. Letting them stay for a few more minutes in the pan, allows the bottom to become golden brown and it adds a little bit more flavor to them too! When I order them out or make my own at home, I prefer the more traditional Asian style dipping sauce with them. It's simple to make and doesn't require a lot of ingredients. For one to two servings of this sauce: 2 Tbls. Light Soy Sauce 1Tsp. While or Brown Sugar 1 to 1&1/2 Tsp. Rice Vinegar 2 Lg Cloves Garlic, finely minced 1/2 to 1 Tsp. Toasted Sesame Oil - must be toasted, not plain. Stir it all very well to combine and serve at room temperature with dumplings/potstickers You can also add some finely chopped green onions or chives, white or toasted sesame seeds, a few drops of chili oil or 1/4 Tsp. chili garlic paste. My husband adds a bit of Sriracha hot sauce to his bowl. A very delicious sauce that you don't have to make yourself is a sweet chili sauce thats from Thailand called Mae Ploy... if you can find it nearby. Most large grocery store chains that have an "International Foods Section" will carry it, or another brand of Thai Sweet Chili Sauce and its available on Amazon and at other online retailers. Love and abundant blessings to everyone! 💛🕊🙏🏻

The respect and common decency these folks show to one another, is admirable. The irony, with no regard to age, sex and education is that we can learn so much about other cultures. We always fried ours in a pan with a little bit of oil, then when the bottoms are golden, add a cup of water or broth and put the lid on to steam them the rest of the way. Lacy Skirt Potstickers are similar but there is a spoonful of flour added to the water or broth. They are done when the moisture has evaporated and the flour gets crispy. They are served inverted onto a plate with the 'lace' holding everything together. Its a beautiful presentation.

There's a few different preparations of dumplings. It can be fried, boiled, steamed, baked, grilled, etc. You get slightly different textures / flavors out of it depending how it's prepared. Fried is much crispier and kind of bubbly skin. Boiled has a more raw/gummy texture (though still cooked). Steamed is pretty similar. Grilling it gives it a bit of color and firms it up a bit can make it slightly crunchy. Baking it makes it a little crunchier, without being oily, etc. Typucally there's some kind of ground meat and spices, and usually some like shredded cabbage/carrots/etc. or something, too? Or sometimes it's just shredded vegetables like in spring rolls.

What Kinds of Dumplings Are There? There are 3 popular kinds of dumplings: Drop dumplings are dumplings made in a bowl that you scoop out and drop into the soup to be cooked. They are light and fluffy. Rolled dumplings are the kind of dumplings you get when you order Cracker Barrel’s Chicken and Dumplings. They are a flat dense dumpling. Biscuit dumplings are made with canned biscuits and are cut into quarters and dropped into the soup. This recipe uses drop dumplings. Why? Well, when I started trying out different methods of making my own dumplings these drop dumplings were the clear winner. They are very easy to make, fast to cook and extra delicious! This recipe makes fluffy homemade dumplings that float on top of your chicken soup.

These videos are amusing to me and so many other viewers. Pan-fried Chicken (or Pork) Dumplings (aka 'Pot Stickers') are not 'finger food'. These dumplings are normally eaten with 'soy sauce' or something similar. What were they given for a 'dipping sauce'? (They were complaining that it was 'too hot'.) After we watch them inspect and play with their food, please have a 'part 2' and show them how to correctly eat them. This 'social experiment' should and could also be a 'learning experience' for the villagers.

I think you guys might be running out of ideas, because you already did chicken dumplings one year ago. I also must say that this is not an American chicken. Pretty-much would you guys are eating is a pierogi. Perogies are normally filled with potatoes, but lately they've been trying all kinds of different mixtures inside of them. My favorite mixture would have to be the buffalo chicken. Chicken and dumplings is usually a chicken with a brown gravy that is put over the top of homemade dumplings. A lot of people like to use biscuits instead of dumplings, but it's definitely not the same thing.
