Due to the protests by Parandur people it is highly unlikely for the Greenfield airport to come up there. More likely it might be in Pannur if those people don't oppose the project. I love Pannur. It is a squeaky clean beautiful small village near Sunguvarchathiram.

Inland flights will remain in the current location Meenambakkam. Only international flights are to be moved to a new location for ease of foreign travel. They could not expand the current location due to urbanization of the city. Parandur still has a lot of logistics issues to solve like distance. It is 65 km from Chennai.
