Really wish this devs and pubs listened to players instead of ban them for criticizing their game and then deleting their posts when they were trying to promote it: 1. Create new media content like comics, shows, and movies to attract new fans through lore and great storytelling 2. Release Vindictus on consoles: Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo to gain new players 3. Retain gamers through exclusive events, collaborations, giveaways, and promotions 4. Partner with Esports for competitive PVP Battle Royale or Team Death Matches 5. Remove pay to win microtransactions like Goddess Graces or EXP boosts in the Supply Depot 6. Transition to selling limited outfits or weapon skins that are purely cosmetic and don't affect stats/gameplay 7. Engage with players with monthly surveys, announcements, news, and reply to their suggestions/ideas/feedback 8. Encourage more content creators to post videos through contests that reward most likes or views on social media 9. Promote the game through collaborations with GOT, sponsor well known influencers, or obtain celebrities endorsements

The game isn't optimized well and that prevented me from playing it. I quite like the game, it reminds me of some old ps2 era thrid person ARPGS.

No, it really is not. There's like a dozen MMOs which fit that description FAR FAR better in regards to thirst trap content and how gameplay works out, even as a joke. Most of what you're seeing that looks 'sexy' is locked behind paywalls anyway. Even if you can get ahold of decent sexy costumes, the games shoves ugly underwear on you and you'll pay to get any decent undergarments.

But yeah, is is a good 'Barbie Doll/Ken' dress up game. You can customise your outfits to a great degree in terms of mix and matching and changing colours of different aspects. If you're willing to fork over cash, you can do a lot more. I think a lot of people will just buy shit off the cash shop though since it is loaded with thotwear.

My character's the redhead at about 11:35. Always try to keep a fun dance party going in town; keep things lively and lighthearted. For the record, I haven't had any issues with that outfit, but then again, I think I've only used it for streams here. Despite maxing your sliders, your Danah's proportions are not enhanced by the "All Curves" series of outfits that, when equipped, enhance characters' proportions beyond the limits of the sliders.

I have came back to vindi many times. I love the perfect counters on fiona and just how challenging the fights *once* were. I suppose the newest content is always challenging but it sucks to come back and see all of the old tougher fights nerfed into oblivion. The thing that always gets me is how punishing the progression is endgame. Blowing up gear if you fail enchants/enhancements. Plus the fact that they materials were hardly even farmable. I wish someone would take vindis combat and remake the game under better direction.

Ah yes, fiona and Vella counters, such fun, my favorite chars back in a day. I want the same thing as you, after all these years Vindictus has best combat and animation in MMO i ve ever seen, but the game was killed for me by the huge nerfs. I am soulsborne fan/veteran, so as you can imagine, the nerfs after season 3 made the game just too borring for me, there is no danger. I miss hard modes, grouping up and getting wrecked while leveling.

The Dragon "Elchulus" used to be a RAID Boss with 8 people iirc. Good freaking times! Vindictus 2 would be AMAZING and much deserved! This still has one of the best combat system out there and also really good armor designs.

the copy and paste level designs are in the early stage of the game when back in the days it wasnt a problem while later on it changes in an amazing way (from desert to sea , from exotic islands to mecanical monster inhabitant mountains, from plains to dark forests to underground places ) if you want to have a full overview of the design,dificulty and "co-opability" of the game you have to playtest it until like 90 lvl.See your account having like lvl 60 chars makes me feel that you dont even know how the game actual is even if its a good or bad critic and this is coming from an old veteran player back in the days when this game was in its very good state with many players. This game is something that makes you come back to play the new char for a week and send you back to ur cave until the next time... or at least this is what i feel like anymore

The areas may be different as you progress the game but they are still limited instanced areas and they became repeatable too after a while. There is no open world to explore. Every area feels close and restricted.

Unpopular opinion: I personally find Vindictus' combat better than BDO's. BDO's combat is extremely flashy and everything seems like a MASSIVE attack that looks like it's gonna split any mob in half, but then it does shit damage unless you're overgeared for the area. With Vindictus the attacks are flashy but not on the crazy level of BDO, and the attacks feel more solid, plus the damage is never "too low", all things considered, to make it look so over the top for the damage being dealt as it happens with BDO.

Your opinion is only unpopular due to the fact that BDO has way more success from the getgo and as such has simply put way more people going "wow best mmo combat ever!" even tho most of them have not in fact played Vindictus. In terms of those who played both, I don't think people favor BDO at all combat wise. No matter how we break the combat down, even from a technical standpoint, Vindictus wins by quite a large margin.

Well I agree with your unpopular opinion my friend, I played both games A LOT, and honestly I can't seem to find a game that gives me that feel Vindictus combat did, when I played BDO I was like "this is the one, so flashy, look at the graphics!" then after getting to level 50 everything started to go downhill, like to kill a group of mobs I have to throw like 25 skills to barely kill em... and the way you get stronger in BDO... just sucks. I dropped the game when I was trying to level up with a friend and after 2 hours of grinding exp. (with multiple boosters) we got like 5%. 💀

I am a open beta high school days enjoyer October 2010. I retired from Vindictus after Grimden came out and I finally had my teleport assassin type male character. I specifically say male character because Vindictus is also very notorious for rarely making new male playable characters in it's gender locked 🔒 roster. I returned for the new Orbis beautiful midnight witch character since my favorite fighting game waifu from Soul Calibur 5 looks to never return. Czern (Charon) is a direct spiritual successor to Viola. It's worth coming back to for me as a fan of only some FGC games but realistically DevCat has changed way, way too much. It's nearly a single player game at this point with only endgame having any real multiplayer features. Sad really.

I would like to mention that once you reach act 2 of the story- the game puts you into an entirely new region that actually has an open world and completely new mission settings I assume the later story acts do similar things as well, but I've yet to make it that far myself

I'm assuming you are talking about the missions that have you explore a giant map of interconnecting levels and fighting bosses in certain areas? They removed this a long time ago, all the season 2 missions are completely linear now just like season 1, only one boss and no exploration. Season 3 is the same, and Season 4 is mostly just raids

Nexon needs to engage with the community and listen to player concerns. I'd argue BDO combat is actually much better, it's just a lot more buttons to press to make it look/feel good. But I get it, they want to make it feel like a fighting game with the button combos. The part where BDO falls way short is the boss fights/hit detection. But still, the fact Vindictus shits on just about any modern game in the current day is a real testament to how well it's been designed.

i think lower levels should be given more attention. i remember thinking how tedious it was to level up in wow up to getting to burning crusade levels, but thinking back, that was a lot of fun, doing quests that didn't level you up instantly while waiting in the dungeon queue, trading in the auction house, trying to get the gold for the mount trainers

I left wow before the dragon came and reshaped the map. Running through a zone being chased going 'oh $h!! Oh $hi!!' was actually a major fun point. I have to come back and get stronger... I stopped cause the sub was expensive and I didn't have the money. Came back about 5 years ago. 😂 Wow became a joke. I was super sad about it, talent trees were non existent... Wow was my first MMO. I haven't been able to replicate that feeling since.

Besides, other people running around on the open map instead of a hub is mostly aesthetics and sometimes even a hinderance as players may compete for the spawning monsters you need. While instances provide monsters and loot for everyone as needed.

Returning to this game is still as much fun as I remember. Also that signature outfit is strange to me. The box before opening doesn't mention a time limit, the package inside doesn't mention a time limit and the outfit pieces themselves don't mention a time limit. What is happening here? I can only guess I can't wear it once I'm past lvl 100 because I saw some players lvl 115 and if so that's pretty awesome.

I have been playing Vindictus for a long time now. I'm glad you like the game but in the video you only got through season one of four, the instances get more diverse as you advance and the content gets harder as well. I would be interested to see your opinion after playing through season three or four. They will continue to give you good gear at least up to level 95

I played Vindictus before it was casualized to oblivion, which sadly started happening pretty early, I had a max level Karok, with maxed out Paladin both transformation levels, I think around 240k AP total, Militos and I were basically top Karoks on EU in terms of skill, but he was still leagues ahead of me, simply insane. I loved this game, but they just kept making it easier and easier, I hated it, because they were slowly taking away what made this game good in the first place- difficulty and satisfaction from winning. Bosses started dealing less damage, were easily stunnable and staggerable, and the biggest problem of all- they completely disregarded new players when it comes to gameplay. Vindictus became on of these games that "start after level XX" because everything before that is just a slight breeze, no difficulty whatsoever, it was more of a chore to level than actually having fun, and then they went even further with their nonsensical decisions and made first raids into regular missions, at one point they also removed Hard and Season of Macha, but I was barely playing at that point so I don't know exactly when it happened.. Season of Macha was basically an even further bump into the difficulty. I have NEVER played a single mission on "normal", because even "hard" was already easy. I remember when the Werewolves mission was hard and the fight tricky, because you had to fight three very agile bosses at the same time, but devs for some reason nerfed them into the ground by making them get stunned after every smash, effectually turning them into damage sponges that don't move 90% of the fight, and managing to stun the enemy was not just an achievement in itself back in the day, it was also very desired, because it was always a few seconds of free damage! And they made into common occurrence. Back in the day Vindictus was a souls-like before Dark Souls was even a thing, bosses hit hard, were tough and there were no warnings about attacks, no weird windups, they were faster than they are now. Even each character's survivability skills were MUCH harder to master, Karok's Absorb Shock actually look skill and was an extremely high risk-high reward ability, while Lann's dodge was the best in the game, because it guaranteed no damage, but the window was *VERY* narrow, it was like 0.13s when maxed out, and now it's what, 0.4? Fiona's block management was also fun! Heavy Stander used to be an active ability! You had to learn the boss pattern in order to block him efficiently, you needed to be able to differentiate between bosses' "Normal" and "Smash" attacks, because normal block couldn't defend you from smashes, and using heavy stander for every attack wasn't efficient, because you couldn't counter from it's stance. And I will never forgive them for turning Karok's "Clash" from high risk-high reward ability into "Press TAB to always win". Position and timing were always the most important when it came down to clashing with the bosses, but they just made the clash zone into size of canada and removed the timing by turning the ability into a stance. What. A. Joke. If you played this game back in the day, you probably hate it now, because it's a mere shadow of its formal self, this game *was* glorious even on low levels. RIP Vindictus, I hope the new singleplayer will be better than what they did to you..

The thing I've always loved about this cute little game is how it's never been dishonest about what it is. From the get-go, it was advertised as a boob physics action game. :D But with the twist being that they genuinely did care about making the combat cool - the animations use motion capture, for example. Of course it's monetisation model is bad, but at least it's never been anything different either. It's pretty much the same game it's always been, in every way! XD

Elchulus was 40 man raid with good mechanic. Also this game is korean monster hunter. The gear and weapon is taken from slaying bosses. Playing when first came to EU and the game was to max 40 and last boss was 3 spiders. Raid bosses is challenging but 2-3 times and you can master it. I have a friend that have WoW addiction and Vindictus heal it.

Ran a guild in this game when it first launched up to when Vella came out. Just checked the launch date and can't believe that was 13 years ago. Fun times running guild raids for mats. Great memories.

I remember playing this for so many hours, maxed multiple characters and stuff. What got me off it was the end game gear progression and luck based economy. Also the game will probably go into end of service mode soon-ish, so I hope they do a Vindictus 2 with a more immersive world and better systems, while keeping the combat as it is.

I remember playing this game hardcore 10 years ago, boss fights are fun, char dress up is awesome, but the game is filled with lootboxes with impossible odds on best outfits, server desyncs especially obvious in pvp, extremely low rng drop rate for endgame progression, and enchanting gear can destroy your gear in the end game.

Highly recommended to change the character battle cries from NA to KR in the game's audio options. Spoken dialogue won't change though, just the battle grunts. Some char's sound like dying cats with NA shouts *cough cough Miri*

Been playing for 10 years i still have a love/hate relationship with this game lmao but Ive seen so much progression in this game, really sucks they dont advertise for our servers like they do for KR/CN/TW. I always encourage new players to stick to it since all the good stuff is much later on. I'm guessing you are on NA server which is a shame, would have loved to have guided you a little bit on the later stuff. Great video as always :)

I played this a bit back in 2018 and my shitty laptop could barely handle it and I still squeezed 17 hours out of it before I finally quit due to having below 20fps on average. I think now that I can run most modern games at high graphics and hold over 60fps, I'll give this game another shot.

For the region lock, you only need the vpn until the game log in, then you can stop your vpn and you'll be ingame with your own ip and so the bandwidth, i do that always when i plan to play this game and i actually downloaded a free vpn. So to resume, you have to be under a vpn ip when you launch ncsoft launcher, then you launch the game, and when it's logged, you can desactivated the vpn for good and play hours on. I always choose my character from what the high level outfit looks like.

You know 13 years ago a few games lead the action combat mmo world It was age of conan the first real time combat mmo and then continents of the 9th and vindictus later there was TERA but no one has been able to hit the spots like #vindictus and they should have made a bdo version vindictus 2 sandbox and instanced dungeons like mabinogi but it got froze And by now they should have made console ports and made secondary weapons and elf characters which kai originally was going to be and they honestly could just make people pay a body change coupon for all curves at this point for all the inners and armors and still do the gacha for the special outfits

The gameplay thing is so true. A good example the game malicious fallen is such a small basic game it’s basically only combat. It’s a boss rush game, but the gameplay is so fun with so much mobility options.

Vindictus was amazing in his early days i have really good memories when the only end boss was the black and yellow spider. Everyone was playing, tons of people everywhere with its difficulty levels on missions, now as i remember from the revisit its only normal mode, game was pretty dead and the early content is like a walk in the park, no challenging content until i guess the very endgame which i couldn't reach by boringness as i can see in your videos the team in charge is more worried to increase the female characters boobs than trying to do something to fix the game. It's sad cause i consider this game with one of the best gameplay in all mmo's out there and i've been in alot. Good video mate.

Just returned to vindicrus for like the ninth time and still enjoying the heck out of it. Blasting everything at level 100 with nothing but a virgin killer sweater is peak performance 😂 as some have stated below, the additional gear upgrade systems are time consuming and complicated, and maybe there arent a ton of players, but active guilds exist and ive never met anyone truly toxic. Most people are just happy youre interested in a game theyve spent so much hours on. Id say as your main game, it becomes chore-ish due to above reasons. But if you want to unwind for a couple hours and just beat the absolute daylights out of anything that moves alongside challenging boss fights, vindictus makes for one of the best secondary games i play.

Saw this vod and went back to try vindictus. One thing you missed in the video, which you saw the system but didn't say anything more about it. FATIGUE SYSTEM. Its completely ass especially for new/returning players. You get 0 exp/loot from battles after 0 fatigue. On fresh char starting wtih 300 fatigue going down by 5-10 per battle i think, you get to 0 in like 4-5 hours of playtime getting to lvl 70. So even with the streamlined lvling, you cant even get to max level without waiting for your "fatigue" to refill. Refills like 100 daily reset, 20% if previous 100% wasnt used or some complicated system.

I agree with you Lazy. I think a sequel is long overdue. Or at least a revitalization of bringing the game to consoles if they haven't done so already. It seems like this is the only game out of what I'd say is the big 3 of fast paced combat MMO's to not have made the switch over to consoles yet (BDO, Tera, & Vindictus). Speaking of Tera, I noticed you didn't put that in your tier list from last month. And that is actually one of few MMO's that are on console, so I'd like to think it still has a decent player base. If you do decide to do a BDO in 2023 (cause it's almost inevitable at this point 😅) then can you also do a Tera in 2023 as well? Just to see how the game is still holding up after all these years. Edit: Forgot about B&S as well. I forget if this game has also gone over to consoles but I'd be shocked if it hasn't too.

I'm not a dev but I think the jiggle you get when loading a new character on screen is just the physics kicking in so it may not exactly be by design. However... I'm sure they could fix it, and chose not to, by design :D

The only issue I have with these types of games is controller support is lacking. This game has way better support than BDO, but you still have to use the keyboard for certain things (climbing walls is the first thing that pops in my head).
