Watching this as a kid always tripped me out: First part of first episode was literally the story of Samson from The Bible, 2 songs each 30 minute episode that were usually pretty damn catchy, cursed facial animations (ESPECIALLY any monkey grinning), the canonical introduction of an ‘important’ item in DK64, casual use of the name ‘Dix,’ Eddy the Mean Old Yeti... So much craziness.

Everyone was giving all the other characters shit for singing in their character voices but unlike DK they didn't get the benefit being able to use their actual voice when singing. Also this song feels extremely heavy for something in an episodic format. This feels like a song that should appear 2/3 to 3/4 of the way through a full length movie through the deepest part of a character's struggle.
