Sorry but that is NOT Grunge. lol Certainly not American Grunge anyways (where the look originated). My teen years were in the American midwest in the early-mid 90's and I can tell you quite emphatically that Jessica's makeup & clothes in this video look absolutely *nothing* like what was worn back then. You would've been laughed out of an Alice in Chains concert wearing that getup and sparkly, bright makeup. lol P.S - Grunge was waay over by early 00's. Late 90's, early 00's was a *totally* different look. Definitely more "Boho Chic" than Grunge. Think track pants, low-rise jeans, halter/tube tops, pashminas and butterfly clips. 😉

On a more serious note, Its also a good example of how hard it is to remember not to speak to a deaf person when they can't see you.i live with my deaf nephew and finish about half of what I say to him with.... and you can't hear me can you. Lol It takes practice and patience for both the deaf person and the hearing person.

In my family it's the other way around. My mom is hard of hearing and often overestimates how much non hearing impaired people can actually hear. She always tries to talk to me from the other side of her apartment with two doors between us. I on the other hand am so used to living with someone who can't hear that well that I always make sure to stay close to the person I'm taking to and make eye contact if possible.
