I have a set of these beauties! They are some of the toughest plates to hub lift and double plate pinch.

The hub has a slope to it so I’d bet. I hadn’t gotten into hub lifting yet back when I had these. I’ll get a pair again down the line to try.

I have a full set of Eagleheads with bar in metallic blue. The weights are spot on. The bar has blue sponge material on them. I love the look & quality, despite being foreign made. The chrome set would have been nice, but mine have no flashing & are nicely machined & finished.

I have gray Eagle Heads 25-45 now. I like them a lot. The blue is the most sought after color IMO though. Does your bar have the Eagle Head symbol on the inner color?

@@vintageweightspgh Sure does! It's a nice detail. I bought my set new, along with their olympic dumbells! And I got a Dax gym, if u remember those.

I have a leg press from Buckeye Barbell. I actually saw a whole Buckeye Barbell Home Gym set up for sale. Didn't realize they were the same as Schisler. Crazy how much history there is in the Ohio/Western PA area. But, it makes perfect sense

That’s cool. I’d like to see the leg press. If you have any pics of it, could you email me? VintageWeightsPGH@gmail.com

I have a chance to pick up 570# of Schisler weights, 6 are 45's, two of the six have a little rust, the other four are covered in rust, the other smaller ones are 25 and 2.5#, he wants $250 for all of them and a Schisler weight bench, I want to flip them without restoring them, what do u think I can get for them per pound? Any idea how much the bench is worth, it has a preacher curl and dip station and squat capability I believe? Thnx so much, I enjoy your channel! They are the deep dish eagle type.

I saw that listing in Ohio. Too far for me. That’s a great deal for any weight IMO let alone something collectable.

Thanks for the info...Curious, how much would a full set of the eagle heads differ for or sell for? I'm purchasing a almost complete set of 2-45s,2-35s, 2-25s,3-5s. Possibly bar not sure if its the right one. I feel like I'm getting it for a good price, lol. I hope

There are always a lot of variables with the price/value of vintage weights. Condition plays a big part. Your area and pricing in your area of weights is important. However, to give you a rough estimate, I've recently seen Schisler Eagleheads for sale near me (Pittsburgh) for $4 a pound.
@vintageweightspgh2 жыл бұрын
Oh, and I should mention that the set for $4 a pound had very little rust and all original paint.
