Squats are not for everyone. Everyone doesn't have the correct structure/leverages for squats to be useful for quads.
@francik42254 жыл бұрын
@@capoditutticapos19 Bullshit. There isn't any chance that you won't get quads stimulation from High-bar ATG squats. Of course if you arent build for them, like me, you will fail because of back or/ and glutes, not because of your quads giving up, but your quads will get the same stimulation as they will with quads emphasis leg press or hack squats. ATG squats are just that heavy and hard that they will build strength and muscles, especially when performed with pauses.

Let's be honest priming set sounds way cooler than warm up sets, I feel stronger just thinking about calling them that. Love the channel bro keep up the hard work.

In my opinion, if Wesley's leg width improve. It will make an illusion that his waist is small and not too blocky. Almost all top 5 classic have good and wide outer legs. Go get it champ! Im sure you know what to improve.

The old style Panatta hack squat has a short backrest that should allow you to maintain a physiological curvature of the spine ... unlike modern hack squats which have a longer backrest.

I used to just go to or barely below parallel on hacks, and I could pile on a decent stack of plates, but it just wasn't satisfying. Never felt like I was getting to real failure. Now (after doing multiple sets of curls and extensions, and an extensive hack warmup) I go all the way down to the stop. Can't use even half the weight I did, but I can finish with a rep that I know for 100% sure was the last I could complete, plus you get that good quad stretch. Hopefully pushing down my ego will bring up my leg development.

Great video! I do wish that I had a hack squat at home, but the cost is a bit much. The machine you were using is about $4,800 here. I noticed that Kane had his elbows flared way out and back in the Buffalo Bar compared to a normal bar position, and the position you were using. Is this just due to getting used to the bar? I have always been told to point the elbows down.

@ 6:39 "...but you always want to have perfect form." Yes, you should. But pro bodybuilders almost never adhere to this rule, because, apparently, they know what their bodies need to improve. Which is valid. (Except when they get a new coach; when that happens, almost to a man they're re-focused on form. LOL) But the problem is that KZbin viewers see these champs working out with 'questionable' form, and they take on the belief that it's OK to do quarter- or half-reps, because hey; that's what their idols do. It's unfortunate, because when you point this out, the standard response is 'Well, where's YOUR championship trophy, asshole? Unless you can show us, you should keep your big mouth shut!" Yeah; in my case, 45 years' worth of involvement in the pursuit of fitness development means sweet f-a. LOL
@HeadPack4 жыл бұрын
So true. Since some of the ingredients going into extreme muscle growth are conveniently ignored, folks with little knowledge may believe that replicating bad form with too much weight will earn them such bodies. I have only 30 years in the sport, but it has definitely gotten worse with all these cheap gyms not offering key knowledge anymore. For this reason, Wesley's content is among the most valuable.
@probitionate4 жыл бұрын
@@HeadPack I agree entirely about Wesley's content. You know, what's most sad about the knowledge aspect is...and I know that I'll get lacerated for suggesting this...but it ain't rocket science. It's not a mystery. It doesn't take a gift to 'get it'. It takes some effort to locate the knowledge, but it's mostly about intent, dedication, consistency...and the ability to contextualize. That is, the more balanced your life is, the better the chances are that you're going to accomplish your (long-term) goals. I don't personally believe that you need to pay anyone for insight, not until you're waaaaaaay down the line. But hey, what do I know? I went from a 185-lb high schooler to putting on 50 lbs of healthy size over the course of several decades.
