In the late 70's my brother and I came across a car that was part of a divorce and had to be sold as part of the agreement. The guy didn't want to sell it but was being forced to. As part of the sale he wanted a first right of refusal which was ok with the divorce decree. From what I remember he could buy the car back but had to wait a period of time before he could. At the time my brother and I were in our early 20's and the car was an original 427 Cobra. Price at that time was in the mid $20k range and together we had the money. The issue we had was not one car insurance company would sell us any insurance on the car. Not even storage only. So try as hard as we could to get insurance for it we couldn't. So we weren't going to spend that amount of money at the time without the car being insured even for acts of god or theft.

Car insurance companies are assholes. They only care about getting away with the money. When you DO need them, they will kick you to the curb. Broke up with State Farm after they refused to cover the costs of an accident that was the OTHER driver's fault (he ran a red light). I am thinking again of breaking up with the current provider because they're using Bidenflation as a stupid excuse to keep hiking my rates to the skies. One day, it will reach the point that paying premiums for coverage isn't worth the residual value left on the car and I'm getting VERY close to that. Car insurance employees are just as pathetic as lawyers and bank robbers.

We get the random guests setting down in the vinwiki chair time after time. However, next to Ed, Doug has to be the next best to pop a squat in the studio. If only the eBay outlaw, Rabbit, made more appearances could any other surpass those two. The vinwiki channel is one of the most unique out there. Need hot wheels track builds everytime Doug is in town though.

@@alexandermartincausey7333 oh yeah. The Rabbit stories are classic no matter what chair he sits in. Was just trying to rate the ones that have set down in the vinwiki chair. There is just something about the vinwiki studio backdrop. The cluttered displays, the lighting and the way you know the guest is most likely setting across from Ed telling the story just makes it more better and different than any other story telling channel. However, no shame on rabbits old-time filling station background that always has an interesting vehicle in frame as well. Kinda sad he got away from the tattooed, scantily dressed ladies that used to close out the videos though. He did that like no other as well.

My car pretty much stays away from the house. I did find out it's not the particular car. When I got rid of the Porsche and got the C8 she still hated it. In my understanding my car, any car I love IS the other woman. That being said if I store it at home it is fair game to ding, scratch, claw or take a bat to. Love is blind but marriage is sure an eye opener!

Carfax can be a good thing, but it's also annoying. So a dog runs out damages the bumper, insurance repairs it, there's no actual damage to the car. But the Carfax is forever cooked. On the other hand I wreck the car, have it cut in half by my brother-in-law and sectioned terribly with a shell I got from a theft repo, and the Carfax is totally clean. Pretty dumb.

LOL !! I sold my '88 Lotus Turbo Esprit. RED w/ Tan interior. Bought a '80 Porsche 911 SC, Red w/ Black interior.. My car parks next to hers in our garage. Finally a week later I asked her if she sees anything different in my cars. She said NO.. Then I pointed it out. She never noticed. That was in 1992.. I have since bought and traded many sports cars. Never did ask for permission.. BTW, I never cheated on my wife.. Married 38 years now..

Got a case of that in my city. Guys pride and joy a dmc12. Loved that car more than anything and only drove it. Cheated on his wife while using said car. Got divorced wife won the car. It has spent the last 20 years sitting in front of the Chinese restaurant they used to own together slow rotting away. The reason for such is cause where the place is if you want to go to the south side of town you have to drive past it. So this woman placed the car so he has to watch his prized car that got taken from him slowly die. Cause he cheated on her. It hurts me at this point when i drive by.
