One of the best sleepers of the 21st Century. It looks like a Malibu but those who know, know. The green is fantastic. Glad it was saved and not scrapped. Kyle worked hard and made his dream happen.

It’s vaguely similar to a Malibu in that they’re both similarly sized Chevrolet sedans. However, the SS definitely has a much more elegant stance.

Hard work and a never give up attitude are admirable qualities for a young person to have. Also you don't have control to who or what you're born into. But sometimes hearing a young person who is born on 3rd or even 2nd base tell you just work hard and you can achieve your goals can come across as patronizing. His version of broke may be the same as the next guy, but having someone who can front $25k+ $10k that won't break your legs when you don't pay them back in time, is a lot different than most people have access to.

I love my '14 SS sedan. Picked it up in fall of '22 and it now has over 130k miles and still runs great. A 6.2L rwd and room for 2 car seats in the back is perfect. Most people think its a Malibu or something generic... but then I'll have random people come up to me at the gas station and love talking about it.

That dark green metallic is gorgeous too. I started learning to drive in 2008 Holden Berlina Sportswagon my parents owned. But living in Australia these cars are a dim a dozen and so I'm just not that overly interested. But seeing G8's and Chevrolet SS's in the US and passion the owners have is great. I also love the phenomenon where US owners have rebadged them as Holden. It flies in the face of the local owners who do the exact opposite.

We had a 2007 Impala SS black, and loaded except for leather seats, and no sunroof. An old msn on his cellphone hit us head on in a curve. The passenger front tire was pushed into and thru the firewall. Sadly, the car was totaled. Insurance value was paid out $10k with 95k miles on the odometer. I miss that car...

I forget the Commodore wasn't an overly popular car over in the States thanks to GM's non-existent marketing. They probably could have saved Holden if GM unfucked themselves enough to market them. A sub-50 grand V8 Sedan (LS3) with a TR6060 or a 6L80E, well apportioned interior and an aftermarket that would rival JDM cars. I'm a Ford guy, but what's not to like about that?
