A great video and the table is awesome and works well. We had an almost identical roller machine to yours 1600 wide. For our table we just had had a stand built to hold the laminator and to the height of four office tables, two on one side two on the other. We would roll through 1200 x 2400 and 1500 x 3000mm sheets through. We would mount onto 20mm core board, 3mm core flute, composite panel, pvc sheeting, it all worked really well. We used this process for 20 years and put through around 2000 sheets doing it this way, laminated digital prints and self adhesive vinyl. Cheap as and we could roll the machine out the way and use the tables to cut long sheets on or use the cutting machine, very versatile.

We have considered building a table like this for over a year now, using an old laminator we have and the base of an old Vacuseal vacuum mounting table (roughly 5'x10'). So glad to see others braver than us gave it a shot, and it worked! Thank you so much for sharing - we will surely be giving it a shot when we have some time in the coming slow months.

It came out looking good. Frankenstein or not, as long as it works, that's what counts. Some times you have to McGuyver things together. Nice job.

i agree. there are steel laminating tables out there but i feel they are way over priced. way cheaper to just build one. be it you have lot of jobs or not. like you said as long as it works. i have that same laminator parts he using. i have had that idea for a while now. i just need to get to it now

Damn!!! I wish I knew this I just had my girlfriends aunt and uncle come here today from South Carolina to ny where I live and would have seen if they could have stopped along the way and grabbed the tracks I am looking to build a table and in need like weeks ago!

I still have them!

Would a 51" laminator roller work? I'm in the same boat you were in, but I don't need a 10' table. Thanks, Mike
@pagphotosdesigns77492 жыл бұрын
Nicely done Wanted to build one for a couple weeks now for facemounting photo prints onto acrylic as my 34 inch table top DryTac laminator just not doing the job as good as I will like plus am getting more and more requests for lager application. I do have also a manual 50 inch laminator as the one used in the video and was wondering about doing something low budget. Thank you for the Amazon link for the tracks. Now I’ll be building both a rollover table and a track saw
@smalltownink2 жыл бұрын
Track saw….hmmmm, now I know what to do with my extra tracks! Thanks!
@anthonygreaves49982 жыл бұрын
If you decide to build the track saw, post a video. I’ve built one a year ago using two long angle steel with two 1/2 round steel for the track and two small pipe for the bearings. It worked fairly okay for rough cuts. The concept I was missing those tracks and bearings that you are using

So my son and I made one of these based on yours. How tight do you run the roller down? Is just the weight of the roller enough? Any help is appreciated
@smalltownink9 ай бұрын
I think the weight is good enough in most scenarios. A little bit of extra bracing would probably help a lot with sway.

Hey do you use your table and roller when laminating to a 2ft x 4ft print or do you use a laminator?
@smalltownink Жыл бұрын
We have a 65” Royal Sovereign for our roll material. We use this table for applying to rigid substrates.

The rails are split into two so the transition in the middle can be tricky. Certainly not ideal.
