I would pick them all up but they can get pricey.

Loved seeing these - blues is a genre that's sorely under-represented in my own collection. I'd love to start collecting some.

Thanks Jeff...it’s a part of my collection that I’m trying to grow. I have to be in the mood for it but lately i seem to be listening to it quite a bit. Thanks for watching

Hello Chris; The Angola Prisoners Blues. Great music & sound. The Albert King/ Otis Rush is classic. Little Sonny underrated blues harmonica. Muddy Waters good LP's. Johnny Shines underrated guitarist. John Lee Hooker good LP's. Super, Super blues Part 2 following the success of Part1 ( 1967 ) with Little Walter. Freddie King & Paul Butterfield bluesmen we lost early. Like the Sleepy John Estes. Some real good blues record finds. Be well. Baseball is coming!! Tina & Pat!~

Hi Chris. I have never checked out Analog Productions, I need to look at their web site. Couldn’t agree more with BB King, real hit or miss with me. His guitar playing was to smooth on m ay albums, it just did not have the fire of other players. I had a few of his albums but I rarely picked him up. When I first started collecting I also bought whatever. I too had been upgrading on my more favorite albums. Hug e thank you for the Lamont Butler album, that was very generous of you. I look forward to spinning it.

They put out some quality products over at Analogue Productions. They are more expensive than normal record prices but they are audiophile quality. Hope you enjoy the Lamont album!

Been wanting that Folk Singer for a while. Might have to go with an repress. An OG copy just ended on Carolina Soul for 90 bucks. Blues is one of those genres that I have to be in the mood for so my collection is pretty small. Enjoyed! Andre’

Got to agree with you on the sound quality of the classic blues albums. A friend of mine that lives near me has been collecting blues records for over 40 years. I am always blown away at the condition that he finds them in. He claims that they are mostly found in record stores. But I think he is buying them at shows and online. You just do not see original John Lee Hooker, Howlin' Wolf, etc.. Nice grab on the Muddy, Hooker and Sleepy John. Do you find most of these gems in the shops Chris? Rob/Boston

Some of these I did find in local shops but most were online I purchased. Jazz and blues are so hard to find in the wild. Your friend sounds like she has a pretty nice collection

I saw Freddie King a few times in the early 70’s. He used to tour a lot then. I need to get some Lightin’ Hopkins. Check out Blind Willie McTell if you don’t have any of his records.

I will definitely check out Willie McTell...thanks for the suggestion!
