Strange noises from a brand new SUN 2000 GTIL inverter..let's open it up and check the fans for problem..also a general view of the board and some recommendation in case of DC input short.

I have a problem with the fans in my 1000w version. I always thought it was very bad design as the thing goes "VrooomBooooom....!!" with a very loud basey noise as it spins up(!). I've just now installed my 3rd 1000Gtil and realised it's whisper quiet - so if must be a bad fan in the loud one all along. Never realised until today 😅

No stress! There are 3 fans..two the bottom of the case for general cooling, those have bearings and pretty quiet and another noisy guy cooling the heatsink when the temparature goes over 50 C...once in a while that one comes up very noisy, it's like a turbo fan. It's normal to have that sound.

So glad I found your channel. Thanks. Another great lesson in economics.

Thanks for the video. I'm having a problem with one of my 2k GTILs I can't figure out, so am curious to see if you experience it too. The 2k GTIL can take up to 30A DC. I have two GTILs, set with a 25A input limit to give a little safety buffer. One is happy to accept 25A. The other (much newer one) reboots itself every few seconds if I give it more than 17A, which is barely more than half what it should be able to accept. Suggestions welcome!

Check the minimum reboot voltage..set it to 44V...eventually double the wires..or higher gauge to avoid drastically voltage drop under peaks..make the wires as short as possible too..

Hey! Just curios..was that working?

Please show how to measure those high voltage mosfets. I have 2 boards that need repairs. Any ideas? Perhaps the controller board is bad?
@viocaia9 ай бұрын
The best and simple way to check Mosfets is one of those cheap transistors testers like www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005430295628.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.1.117f62um62umwX&algo_pvid=6df81c77-88ee-4f42-9627-93cfa10e92f4&aem_p4p_detail=202311100232158472715155828720005710453&algo_exp_id=6df81c77-88ee-4f42-9627-93cfa10e92f4-0&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21RON%21161.53%2184.13%21%21%21247.67%21%21%402101c6e316996123357896403edf13%2112000033040265575%21sea%21RO%211675461357%21&curPageLogUid=GA8KJiw4GjaO&search_p4p_id=202311100232158472715155828720005710453_1

Va salut,exact acelasi model il am si eu,l-am primit de cateva zile,a functionat o zi,dupa care s-au auzit niste zgomote din el,a mirosit a ars iar acum afiseaza Grid error.Cumva reparati asa ceva?
@viocaia Жыл бұрын

I think the company should had at least sent you a replacement fan to repair it since it was still under warranty.

I didn't insist, I'm so tired of seller's attitude. It's working ok witha cheap replacement one...
Sorry for my '' bearings '' sound more like ''barrels'' ..probably my mind it's still at the wine I just made...:-) Don't forget to have fun..sometime..

@@viocaia perhaps you'd like to make some vids on wine making. After 45 years of throwing it away I'm close to giving up. Parents won prizes but dad's gone and mums forgotten more than she ever new.

@@Wornout1 I was thinking about shooting videos about the very simple process of making wine..but I though is not appropriate fro YT policy..I just have a very small grape yard, local grapes , nothing fancy , strawberry like smell and taste, but for fun I'm doing yearly like 50 liters..100% natural and special for Christmas..I'll do the videos next year!

Everything starts with bad cooling! I found that after the inverter blew up. In summer, in my porch there were more then 35 degres C , it was my mistake to over estimate the fans...now I got that experience and I put extra fans...of course is not the best device on the market but I have no problem with injecting power to mains. I'm invisible.
