I am so happy to see such positive feedback on here! I will be taking my mock 1 in a few days and this is so helpful! One question for you and others: Would you recommend printing out the few slides that are challenging to explain and too complex to draw on the white board (ie. Odd One Out, Matching Fun, etc.). Would having the physical page be helpful for the student to see when I am instructing on what to do? Any suggestions?

Haha!!! Okay. I just did the mock stuff with the tooth on my kids and they didn't seem all that engaged. They are 3 and 6. I tried something else when I was practicing with them, and they enjoyed it wayyyyyy more. And.... I still can't figure out how to do that sit and stand thing... It's throwing me. Your tips are awesome, though. I can't thank you enough for going through slide by slide. Super, gigantic help.

thank you this is so helpful!!!! i have my mock class 1 coming up and needed someone to show me how to use my skills :). my only concern is the sit and stand slide...still trying to figure out how to do that one... any other suggestions?

One criticism I was given in my interview was instead of saying "what does __________ start with?" say "m m mouse" is m (sound) m (letter name) mouse a (s) a (ln) or m m. Can you circle m (ln). Not sure if your interviewer will care as much but mine did.

Your interview sounds like they have no idea what they're talking about, frankly, but thinks they do. Also the proper sentence frame is "What SOUND does [mouse] start with?"

the m1 has two different slides in it now.... from odd one out, it goes to introduce the word PEN.... the instructions say, TD: T teaches the word “pen” to the S and extends the learning by eliciting answers from the student of other words that start with P. (Except Pig, Panda, Pepper). So is the S supposed to come up with three other words that start with P? then it goes to sit and stand.

Hi Hope, I've watched all your videos! I am considering doing the Mock 1. Questions...I have stars and hearts w/magnets to put on a white board for rewards. I like it better than drawing teeth w/a marker. I love your tooth piepan but I don't want to make one yet. Does VIP KID PREFER that during Mock 1 the candidate draw a tooth chart (instead of my hearts or stars)? During my practice I don't get to the end. I must cut back to get to the vital content and esp. the goodbye/goodbye song. Can't do "What's yr name" AND "How are you?" AND "Are you ready?" Because it includes listening and getting answers in complete sentences. Okay to do Hello song and quickly get to P? Completing the lesson in 23 minutes to me is the challenge. Any tips from you or readers most welcome!

Hope... do you know if your camera can be flipped from "mirror" setting, does VIP have that option on their teaching program? My computer is a Macbook and I can't figure out how to write on my whiteboard without having it mirrored. Thanks

I did ask in my Mock 1 and my mentor told me that they don't use the stars during Mock classes because it is distracting and that the stars only appear once you are doing your actual classes- I was worried because you said to use them and then I couldn't find them! Thank you for your help though! Love the videos- you guys really know how to take care of your teachers!

After your Mock 1, how much time do you have before you have to schedule your Mock 2 (if asked). I'm wondering if I should just prep for the Mock 1 and only prep for the Mock 2 afterward if I have to..

There is an arrow to click to move between slides. You will see this first in interview then mock 1.
