Anyone who has an unbiased impartial viewing style will have seen both Israeli and Palestinian social media ‘truths’. I watched one Israeli ‘reporter’ with a Mayor in Israel inciting violence against Hamas labelling them animals who should be exterminated. There is an extremist Zionist agenda that’s been public since the political right took office gaining power. Just like two wrongs never make a right, two extremes will never, either. Western political and media propaganda, bought by Jewish money, pushing pro Israel, are facing Western liberals, who’ve gone pro Palestinian. The 150 years of a Zionist agenda pale into insignificance compared to the 2,000 year history of this troubled region. Put very simply, something the media and public prefer nowadays, especially if it’s sensationalised at every opportunity, there’s more to this than this new conflict. Anyone who fails to apply the historical context is falling prey to the opportunistic agenda feeding the multitude of diverting prejudices that are out there, migration a favourite to whip up a lynch mob frenzy. Ask why there’s an oversimplification and what’s behind it as the political/economic directed agenda for change that would never be accepted by rational thinkers. The mob rule dictated Pandemic policy. The same behavioural modifiers used there are being deployed again. Free speech and Freedom of Movement look to be under threat. That’s your speech and movement because the laws effected on those you want to silence and expel will be the new laws your former freedoms are curtailed by. Be careful what you wish for.

@calvin8002@9and7 I’m sorry to have to concur with you both. The real Inflection point was in the 80s and 90s, when USSR disintegrated and the world had a rare opportunity to rebuild age-old constructs. Alas, idealism prevailed as western society insisted on taking its privilege for granted, especially in Europe. The election of D. T. in the US was the book-end of the seismic shift away from social democracy back to outspoken fascism. The effect is more likely some form of WW3 than any sort of reconciliation, because the shift is philosophical, not demographic.

I was born in 1964 and was very lucky to live in Australia and in a mostly peaceful world post WW2. I can't help feeling the lack of societal cohesion is heading us back to conflict. Governments of all flavours contribute to the problem, but public apathy to politics, not speaking up loudly about the issues that concern us and holding their politicians to account is a big part of the problem.

(From a very good article in today's The Australian newspaper) Hamas meticulously worked out and executed a plan with the only intention being to murder, torture and kidnap Jews. I contend that Hamas went much further than this. They knew, with absolute certainty, that Israel would strike back hard, and many Palestinian non-combatants would die. They absolutely knew this, and reckoned, correctly as it turned out, that every Palestinian civilian death would be exploited by those in the 4 circles and used directly against Israel to remove any global support engendered by the initial invasion. They deliberately plotted for the deaths of perhaps thousands on their own people, in order to further their evil plans for the obliteration of Israel.
@raraavis7782 Жыл бұрын
Yes, exactly that. They put their ideology above even the wellbeing or survival of their own people. Not even the most innocent of their society, little kids, are more then disposable chess pieces in their fight against the very existence of Israel to them. I wish, this was talked about more. What they're doing is so completely incompatible with our 'Western values', it's beyond me, how anyone here can hold any sympathies for them.

"The naive and foolish who join them will regret their support im sure when their violence and hatred is turned upon them " I'm afraid you are seriously mistaken. They will not. They will blame everybody for their mistakes and faults and miscalculations but themselves. It's the irrational side of our human nature resulting of the fact the view on the past is a collective construction. We create the past over and over again. It is sad but true. In USSR, during Stalin's terror Millions and Millions suffered for nothing, among them a plethora of supporters of the regime - but were unable to see the connection between their previous choices and later destiny. In Nazi-Germany Millions who supported Nazism woken up in 1945 and started to blame Nazis for everything seeing themselves as victims of the nazism. Not all of them but the majority of Germans convinced themselves that past was what they wanted it to be. We are a self-delusional species.

One of the problems - and it's particularly relevent in the I/P conflict - is that we in the West have developed a benign - but well-intentioned - arrogance. We have assumed that our values are shared by everyone else in the world, and we then project them onto the issues we see playing out in things like this current war. This has enabled the canny operators both in the UK and the Middle East to play us like fiddles. I'm more aware of this than most due to having some links to the ME. I've seen it happen so many times that I've lost count, and I'm seeing it happen now. They create the situation - as Hamas has done - and then play the victim misleading us via propaganda, the likes of which I'm seeing now in adverts preceedng KZbin videos. They know that we have big hearts jammed to the rafters with our ideas of human rights. They use our big hearts, our laws and the human rights laws against us and it's a mistake not only to project our values onto others but also to assume they want these values for themselves and their own cultures.

@@errolkim1334 What carpet bombing? Targeted bombing is NOT carpet bombing. You think you're helping the Palestinian people? Stop kidding yourself or trying to fool others. You aren't. And you don't impress me with your confected outrage because my husband is from the MENA region. I know it, I've lived there, and I've learned a thing or two over the years. This is the usual sequence of events: throughout the year the so-called supporters of the Palestinian people man stalls, run 'boycott Israel' weeks, demonstrate outside events and raise funds which never get to the people anyway. Then we've had the Mavi Marara or March to Jerusalem-type incidents, along with the "Free Palestine" marches. All of this encourages Hamas to fight on - to keep going in its aims. Aims that have nothing to do with the welfare of its people, but of annihilating the state of Israel. Which is big of these supporters given that they are thousands of miles away, safe behind their keyboards pumping out the narratives they've learned or been given, but have no real idea of either the complexity of the ME, the facts on the ground or the long history of this conflict. The war will never touch them. Their children are safe. Meanwhile, Hamas is appropriating funds meant for the people and diverting them into arms and to support their own lifestyle. It's digging up water pipes to make some of its rockets, hundreds of which it sends into civilian areas in Israel. Any idea what life is like with hundreds of rockets coming your way? When Israel does what every nations first duty is - to protect its people - and takes out the rocket stores and rocket launchers, then suddenly these so-called supporters start crying for the suffering of the people, blaming Israel for things like the unclean water caused by Hamas taking the water pipes in the first place. It's a joke! These supporters are a bunch of hypocrites who, by their constant encouragement of Hamas, have contributed to the suffering of the people by enabling Hamas. If you hate Israel that's fine. You go ahead and hate them, but be honest about it - don't hide behind faux concern and confected outrage for the plight of the Palestinian people. Don't kid yourself that you care about them. I do, and I'm sick to death of those who want Hamas to continue doing what they're doing over and over again, perpetuating the suffering and keeping the people from moving forward.

@colinmatts Жыл бұрын
Who are this "woke generation"?
@HimmelsDaemon Жыл бұрын
Not that interesting, and I echo the sentiment, "what generation." Such subversive manipulation is not a generational culture issue. It shouldn't be interesting, presumably in a manner of oddity, as that was the explicit intent of the term "woke" from it's marketing origin: too honestly suggesting terminology for extorting the transient moment of people who have made a realization and seek knowledge beyond, catching them in that moment of having just "woke" up to direct them, directing them to true "awakening," but really placing blinders upon them and leading them into another layer of prison. Hence the extreme aversion to that mistake, and plentiful astroturfing, controlled-op, etc. to try to bury that clear and blatant meaning behind notions of who and what is being exploited and not the exploitation -- being what their good at, society is conditioned to, and both of the theatrical sides want to be blindly opposed to and therefore likely to accept such false pretenses as usual. And with that, "that it is about power," should be remembered; they'll also happily take and faun Israel's power too if and when this attempt fails. The lowly status will be abandoned, will reconsidered as failed nuisances gotten rid of, and will try again. Need only see how "anti-semintism" is exploited in all the same manner, by the same people, and bases for the others. Therefore it would best be to not fall within that trap again, into the blind opposition that is to their subversive benefit.

Brilliant! Kisin nails it. Why is a former comedian having to point out the bleeding obvious while politicians serve up weakness and appeasement?
@aymen_alm Жыл бұрын
I have two questions that I sincerely want an answer to. I am strongly conservative, yet I do not clearly see answers to the questions I am posing, so here they are: Number one. Why do we equate Hamas with Palestinian citizens? Is it not possible to condemn Hamas while simultaneously support a nation that wants to govern themselves? In Slovakia, where I am from, the national revival of the 19th century led to a conflict with Austria-Hungary which governed our land at the time. No one disputes the right for the Slovak nation to have its own state. Why is it then in principle impossible to admit the right for Palestinians to govern the area where they lived in 1930s, which is also the time of their national revival, on which the state of Israel was imposed based on Balfour declaration? Surely terrorism is bad, is national uprising bad? Number two. Why do we as supporters of free-speech censor those who try to elaborate an argument for such right for Palestinians? Such cause is an essential precondition in a theory of just war. If we condemn Hamas attacks as immoral and unjust - which we certainly must (jus in bello) - it does not follow that Palestinians do not in principle have a right to wage war (jus ad bellum). What are the arguments against formulating such principles of just war for Palestinians? I find shutting down conversation on this on a national level to be contradictory with the conservative value of free-speech. I hope to have a civil and engaging discussion here in the comment section.
@HDSPKSRecords-gi1ob Жыл бұрын
@@aymen_alm It is not the conservatives who equate Palestinians with Hamas. a) Palestinians voted for Hamas, did they not? b) Those waving Palestinian flags in our streets, what exactly are they hoping for? c) Israel is waging war against Hamas forces, it has asked Palestinians to leave its intended targets. d) Where do you see the voices of Palestinians being "censored"?
@errolkim1334 Жыл бұрын
Appeasement? Of whom?
@aymen_alm Жыл бұрын
A) The Slovaks in the 1930’s voted for a peculiar party that promised a national prestige as well as to avoid contrasting communists popular in Czech Republic. The party later turned out to be a fascist collaborant, usurpi g power and handing over 50 000 jews - a tragedy to say the least. The intentions of Slovaks however were only to have their country. Hence it is understandable, that in a desolate state, one votes for a radical solution, but perhaps - for all we know - Palestinians might not agree with the killing of civillian Israelis. B) I do not know where that is supposed to lead. I could not care less about those people in the streets. I care about the principle - that is whether it is un/just to wage war with Israel. C) Where exactly should Palestinian citizens move? The IDF unfortunately killed their own people (Hamas hostages), that is proof there is nowhere to go. The Gaza area is around 30 square kilometers. D) 8:35 here is an example of suppression. Now like I said, I do not care what people in the streets are doing, but it is a matter of free-speech principle to let them voice their opinions. I look forward to your reply.

He speaks well, but he makes the usual polemic mistake of taking some bad examples and declaring them representative of half the population.

Listening to a young man as yourself mention Dr Thomas Sowell and more importantly his books 📚 gives an old man like me a ray of hope for the future. Dr Sowell has been my life mentor for the past 50 years. He's never lead me wrong. Dr Walter Williams ( we have lost him) was another great individual 👍. Keep spreading facts

You hit the nail on the head Konstantin. This is true across the West. The tide is certainly shifting, and this latest terror attacked and war in Israel/Palestine simply amplifies the problems that have long been here.
@theisisreincarnate Жыл бұрын
What if that was the intended to cause this very reverberation in the west ? Netanyahu is on Record for saying the 9/11 was good for Israel ... I quite frankly find it questionable that every single person who went against the grain in 2020 are all now marching to the same beat as legacy media because of October 7th ? 🧐 . BLM are clout chasers & shouldn't have been allowed into Palestine however don't be surprised if they are on the same pay roll as Hamas not as terrorist but #ControlledOpposition.
