THE BURST is actually really fun...

So there's this game called THE BURST that released for Meta Quest and SteamVR just last week...and it is exactly the kind of fast paced, combat-focused yet story-driven adventure that I bought my VR headset for in the first place.
Now it’s definitely not without its flaws, the most apparent being the severely lacking graphics, frequent glitches, and occasional physics jank, but there are actually a few things here that put even AAA VR games to shame!
You see, in this Mad Max-inspired world you’ll be using your grapple wire gloves to swing through the air and yank enemy weapons out of their hands. But you also have the ability to climb up ledges, slide to gain momentum, and even wall run on certain surfaces! Now while the parkour and combat are definitely the best part, the decent voice acting and varied locations are what keep the game exciting throughout its runtime! That’s not to mention the boss fights and vehicle combat sections that truly put your VR skills to the test. This isn’t just some stationary VR wave shooter, no, this game is all about the movement. From swinging through the air while shooting enemies down below, to the intense shootouts while speeding through the desert on a motorbike. This game is thrilling from start to finish despite its current issues at launch. But I guess depending on how far in the future you’re watching this, it could be totally improved by now!
