Thanks buddy. It's sanded grout, absorbs water better than the typical type of grout.

Don't use the water proof grout buddy, gypsum is fine you can add fine sand to the mix as well. For the plant it's Ficus pumila Quercifolia

Nope buddy, especially sanded grout it's porous so it absorbs water, they normally use sealant to make it waterproof

Depends on location buddy, in my place may to July was the best time. If your asking about the weather, it's when hot and humid day.

Doing good buddy, as of now no roots got down yet still waiting for some to start find the way down. I believe it'll probably happen after the plants root bound to the substrates.

Nope they don't buddy, but the plant roots love darkness one reason why they're underground. The leaves are the one who needs light they're like solar panels for the plants to make food.
