I think this is a really nice sweet spot between shorts and raw longer one. I was also shocked how easy it is to maintain abs strength. This a much needed message in the clickbait era of what you need to do everyday to get killer abs.
@battokizu4 ай бұрын
Killer abs should be about the form and function, not about the appearance of those muscles. I know I can feel a good set of abs growing but I have too much body fat for them to appear. But I do have strength and flexibility.
@fcafa3 ай бұрын
Visible abs are still made in the kitchen and working them out makes them pop more. A lot of people tend to overthink it. If you lose a bunch of fat your chest doesnt just grow automatically and you still have to workout chest. Abs are the same way. You can be low fat with a small chest too and you can be low fat with barely any abs showing. Its best to treat them like any other muscle. As soon as I started doing weighted abs workouts instead of just body movement abs workouts my abs quickly improved and almost all of my lifts did too because I developed a lot more core strength which is activated in most things we do when it comes to lifting to assist a little extra.
@ray233423 ай бұрын
Yes!! I used to have basically 0 core strength and was starting to suffer from back pain from it. Did some physio and exercise. My partner has one of those pull up bars and I'd try hanging from it for a few secs. Hardest thing was to get from 0 to 1. When you're SO weak even the easiest of exercises can hurt. Once I hit that 1 - I was surprised by how well I retained it and even got better, even without exercise. I can feel my core engaging when I walk, run, sit. No more back pain and each time I am faced with the pull up bar I can do something a bit better on it. Abs are awesome. They're literally our *core*. We use them for all sorts of stuff. I can't wait to get stronger :)

I only wish you showed all the poses slightly longer and maybe also 2-3 repetitions each. I had to pause and scrub through the video quite a few times.

@potatoman75943 ай бұрын
if u need a rest after these workouts then definitely stretch it out over the whole week, stressing your body out while it's still healing won't help your progress and will just hinder it. its all personal preference anyway, so you do you!

Although it is possible that someone may just have their abs defined because they are very skinny, it’s almost always the case that if your abs are showing, you have USABLE abs. There’s no real distinction between visible and usable abs, although not all “functional” abs (abs that just don’t show but still exist) show, but that’s a meaningless distinction
@mohammadabb4814 ай бұрын
Thank u, these functional trainers are a bit wierd sometimes

@@who-hoo-man Depends on how straight you make it, this exercise allows you to regulate which muscles are used, but I recommend balancing all of them so you can go for longer. Could also be because your shoulders are less developed than your abs so they fail faster.

As a 5’5 95lb woman who has very little visible muscle or anything at all, I’ve been doing aerials for a year and I feel so much more capable and endurant when climbing things like ropes vs big burly men who can do infinite pull ups.
