the Peak District is a great spot for a cute villages (bakewell, castleton, buxton), stately homes (chatsworth) and walks! Also, only 30 mins away from Alton Towers so easy to spend a few days there as well! ❤️

What a beautiful place to explore, I love quaint little villages, with a nice snug pub - The Holiday is one of my favourite Christmas films. Haworth in Yorkshire is a beautiful place to visit - The Railway Children was filmed there (I adore that film) and the station and its surroundings are like stepping back in time. It’s also where the Bronte sisters grew up, and a few other films and parts of Peaky Blinders were filmed there too - although it’s a long way from home for you, but food for thought if you’re heading to the North East to visit family ❤

I know that you visit Brighton, i think you would enjoy Rye, lots of little vintage, browsable shops. Not in the school summer holidays though.
