To say that even a 390 Duke can't hold a candle to the Guerrilla on a twisty road, man, RE must have cooked up a real gem here.

Not possible.
@sakalasiva4 ай бұрын
@@virajvrooms How are you concluding that based on ride experience?
@virajvrooms4 ай бұрын
@@sakalasiva Yup. The bike is heavier and has a wider tyre. So if someone says it outperforms Duke. Then they need a lesson in physics. This bike is more fun to ride than the old REs for sure. So definitely some fresh air for RE's loyal fans. But doesn't come close to Duke whatsoever. Test ride yourself and decide. The only reason why you might like it over Duke if you are new to this class of bikes is it 'feels' more planted in corners and highways, thanks to the weight. But it doesn't mean the Duke loses grip in the same situation.
@sakalasiva4 ай бұрын

Excellent review with some great detail. I rode the new Himalayan a few weeks ago and was very impressed and wondered what their roadster version would be like, I think it looks brilliant with it's conventional forks and still a classic curvy look to the engine casings. I don't like bikes bristling with tech, just want something plain and simple that rides well. I've been enjoying my Hntr 350 for 18 months but it might be time for a change ........ Again, great review, thank you ..... Phil (UK)

Who wants USD forks on a bike like this? RE are right. As you effectively acknowledge later around the nine-minute mark. The most attractive bike in this sector, and I have a 390 Duke. I'd rather have a Guerrilla, but I won't be buying one. First-class review as this bloke's always are.

You can protect the normal fork tubes (fork tube covers) and their seals (rubber, internal) FAR more easily than on the UpSide Down fork tubes (where are the seal protecting covers?). The advantages of USD fork tubes are not necessarily applicable to a standard motorcycle.

I think that the 'right' way up forks and gaiters do suit the looks better. It's actually quite a good looking bike which is not something many manufacturers can say now. Are USD forks really that much more expensive?
@tatasth85595 ай бұрын
For those who prefer city commuting and occasional highway cruising, telescopic forks are more valuable for the money. Meanwhile, manufacturing and assembly of Upside Down forks are more expensive than telescopic forks.

You could change front or rear sprockets to help make first gear ⚙️ more usable and obviously 6th for better cruising speed , this would also assist with any vibes . And being a single it would more than likely NOT effect the performance.
@ChrisParrett-qo4sx5 ай бұрын
RE tend to gear their bikes on the low side, maybe because their biggest market is India, and the ability to trickle at tickover RPM through pot holed city streets, rutted tracks, etc., is more useful than the limited opportunities for high speed cruising. Many Himmy and 650 owners in the west go up a tooth on the front sprocket. The sprockets are readily available for very little cost, and are easy to swap without having to pay a mechanic.

This size of bike makes more sense these days. Too much traffic,too many potholes, too many speed cameras blah,blah,blah means you cant go fast these day[in the UK anyway] Even back in the day I was happy with a bike that would cruise at 80mph, makes even more sense today. This Enfield and Triumph 400 making 40 bhp is plenty fast enough even for motorways. Ckeaper insurance,more mpg, easier to servic and cheaper to buy. Make the most of it before they ban petrol.
