I got my first Vita last year and I am a huge fan of it now. I can't remember the last time I picked up my switch. It is perfection in my eyes. Screen quality, weight, comfort and games... What a great console. Thank you for your video.

I love both the enthusiasm for the ps vita and the fact that a whole book was written about the vita at all. It's a wonderful handheld

I'm Italian, my English is not so good, but I appreciate your communication ability, your voice is really peaceful and it's always a pleasure to listen to your stories. Vita is one of my favourite console ever, with Dreamcast and GameCube.

This was fantastic to watch. I will definitely pick up this book as I have been a massive Vita supporter from day one. I still find myself playing it nightly and when traveling (I bought my wife one as her first gaming system as well). Love seeing the Vita content continue. Can't wait for the book!

I bought recently a Vita Slim in very good condition from a fellow German gamer. I’ve never been into on the go gaming but I found myself always bringing the Vita with me when I go somewhere. It’s so awesome I can play Ratchet and Clank or Virtua Tennis while waiting for something. I for instance earned 5 trophies while waiting for my Covid vaccine booster shot. XD It’d be so dope if Sony decided to release a PS4 portable fully compatible with the base PS4. But I’m dreaming here. The Vita is really a gem.
@Food4Dogs2 жыл бұрын
Welcome to Vitaisland! 😀 The Vita was actually originally intended as a companion for the PS4 - and advertised as such by Sony - but once the PS4 came out and proved so successful, Sony decided to concentrate on their main console and drop the already ailing Vita. So, the base integration was there - it just wasn't fully realised. Features that were available on PS3 (like download/store Vita install files) simply never made it to the PS4. However, the Remote Play function is one of the great features, in fact I've heard from many people for whom this was a major reason to get a Vita.
@DavideDavini2 жыл бұрын
@@Food4Dogs Thanks! I didn’t try the remote play from the Vita yet but I’m sure giving it a go. The only time I used remote play I was in the US for work and I wanted to check on my likes in Death Stranding, so I connected to my PS4 in Italy from my phone. XD
@Food4Dogs2 жыл бұрын
Excellent! There are a few (pretty self-evident) tips for a good remote connection - but if you have your PS4 already well set up (wired to router ideally) then you should be fine. There's one setting that needs to be tweaked, from memory.
@DavideDavini2 жыл бұрын
@@Food4Dogs I tried and it works great, as long as my PS4 Pro is on and already logged in. Problem is, remote play doesn't turn on the PS4 when in rest mode. It doesn't seem to be a network issue as the PS5 turns on correctly when I connect remotely to it from my phone. Sad, it was a great idea.
@Food4Dogs2 жыл бұрын
@@DavideDavini Yes, they stopped at the basics and never refined Remote Play.

I'm very excited to watch this video. I have sung the Vita's praises for the past year (I picked one up in early 2021) and I feel very stung that I didn't have the money to pick one up during its supported lifetime.

@@Food4Dogs they probably meant it as a compliment. We're just glad to share our appreciation for this abandoned little piece of tech with you. Many of us have grandmothers who see us as wasting our lives enjoying entertainment from this device while they enjoy their entertainment from their color screen in their living room, unironically.

@@messiahmozgus Most people who call me Grandma mean it in the nicest possible way. That still doesn't make it a suitable way of addressing an elderly female. I simply ask people to respect my preference here. I'm definitely not the type of oldie sitting in front of a TV (watching reality shows etc.) while berating the younger generation for wasting their time. 😁

I just want to say that I have multiple u-tube accounts I cant keep track of and i dont use the email connected to this name but that is irrelevant. I just wanted to say that, despite me preferring (Besides Vita ofcourse) PS2, and PSX/PS1 as well as PSP of course and Dreamcast and stuff played on CRT(I am in a NTSC coumyry so thankfully I am not bogged down by 50hz but I am sure you eventually get accustomed as most do to most(not all) situations, anyway though I greatly appreciate your videos as well as the enthusiasm and fact you wont ruin your channel by monitizing shows you appreciate quality over personal gain and as someone who feels or thought they were alone with this form of thinking...im glad to see I am far from it. You got a beautiful Vita collection and while I sadly due to my life fallin apart loosing all of my gaming collection from childhood-age 23/24 due to a non understanding family and im on my own now and struggle with disabilities but regardless I still love gaming and once I can replace the consoles that broke or stopped working or had accidents causing issues in the end I have about 30ish total 26ish sepperate NTSC PSX JRPGs, and like 20ish PS2 JRPGs and I JUST got Neptunia MK2 PS3 but my PS3s wont read discs so I cant play it as-is. Im very greatful tonthe hacking community for keeping not only the Vita relevent but the PS3 as well as PS2 and PSX and other consoles from the 90s I grew up playing as I was born in 1986. While I lost what is now worth enough to have gotten me a small house had I let a good chunk go, the second hand market especially on fixed incomes is very unfair to and somehow literaly tripled from 2012/2013 and in 2015/2016 games for 90s consoles(most) became so much 5-10 cent sport games were selling for $5-$10. Crazy to think as $15-$20 range stuff that was in that range for 10+ years became $60ish. But im playing through more of them just little by little. I got my first Vita in 2018. Sadly they are gone as I somehow some years ago lost the units(2 OLED 1101 3G models with 32GB sony mem cards one modded with a SD2VITA and 256GB SD card, one I used to play my real games I own with, but now, I just put my real vita game collection on my replacement OLED 1000 model with only 4GB sony card I modded with another SD2VITA with 256GB micro SD. I recently got Chaos;Child, Steins;Gate, and Vasara Collection for Vita and I am so far honestly loving Chaos;Child. I hope to get Root Letter, and Death Mark as well as the Zero Escape Trillogy. I am also enjoying Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen. I stopped Mask of Deception to start Prelude as its the first despite no physical. I wanted a Vita the first time I learned sony was pondering a "PSP2"(it was called at tge time...said to be almost like a portable PS3 this time also with 2 thumbsticks no more nubs like ith PSP and other things as I was a HUGE PSP fan...I imported the PSP as I when younger had more $$ I could use for gaming so in December 2004 I imported a JP PSP Value Pack used lightly with Ridge Racers and Vampire Hunter Chronices PSP and fell in love with it once it came in Jan I remember as its one of only VERY few good memories I have from childhood as im Autistic but functional, have aspergers as well as learning disorders and I developed bad PTSD, social paranoia

I never got the thin paperbacks nor was I aware of the kickstarter as a personal choice I avoid social media though ppl then ask "what about here?" and all I can say is I have many accounts as I cant keep track of passwords or emails and I have been on YT never adding since its inception and I like an older video from you, keep thinking about leaving KZbin but never do, 😄 haha! Oh no - that is so annoying, being unsubbed. 😐 Good thing you caught it! I have no clear evidence/proof of course ... but every time I upload a new video, KZbin does an immediate 'reduction' of my subscriber numbers. This time it was only 50 down. But I've had some, previously, where it went down by hundreds, even a couple of thousand (!) within minutes. I often wondered ... I hear stories from other KZbinrs about these strange "unsubscriptions".
