I have nerve damage in random areas of my body, not peripheral. As far as I know, it's not due to injury. The sensations are either numb or a feeling of cold. What's that about?

Are you pre diabetic? If you don’t know check your HBA1c. Cheap blood test.

I was crushed in 2006. I now have nerve damage in my left side from the buttocks to the toes. I’ve had nerve ablations, blocks, and many other treatments. What a wonderful video. Thank you so much. I needed to hear that I may be able to feel normal legs again. I do have a question: Is it common or even possible to be allergic to R-Alpha Lipoic Acid? I may have spelled that wrong..When I take it, only one capsule, I get a swelling all around the bottom of my leg and the most Drives Me Insane Itching Rash. Have you heard of this reaction before? I keep reading that that suppliment is the best one for PN.

Hi siobhan (love that name). You're very welcome. And yes, although it is rare there are a small percentage of people that experience a reaction to R-Alpha Lipoic Acid. Sometimes it's triggered by a certain amount. Quite often it will occur in people who have GI problems.

Since I can't walk barefooted, can you suggest a good source for GROUNDING SHOES? Grounding is essential for healing. I live in an old mining town in Colorado where it used to be a dump (many square acres under our subdivision) in the late 1800's to the mid 1900's, and is filled with metal and glass shards, and deadly toxic chemicals. Its not a disability when applying for benefits. I applied for some in home care benefits. They ask do you have cancer..heart problems diabetes ? Nerve pain ..balance problems i guess isnt a disability. For example I need help doing housework.

You have left out the most important factor which is loss of flexibility in the fascia that carries the nerves and sensory nerve ending. Recent research suggests that what you medical doctors put down to damage to the myelin sheath is in fact due to the hyaluronic acid lubricant in the fascia becoming consolidates like glue and preventing the muscle and nerve moving freely and causing the nerve effects you mention but also loss of mitochondrial function leading to the nerves being starved of energy.

.. thank you.. my question is in regards to diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema.. ive seen videos of one saying a doctor has seen these being completely reversed.. proliferative diabetic retinopathy to non-proliferative and non/proliferative to showing signs of never having retinopathy..
