Please don’t pressure your self to lose weight do it when you’re ready physically and emotionally. And please do it because not just to look good but to be healthier and stronger. No to slimming drink that most “influencer” tells you to drink.

I'm a fitness coach and I chanced upon this video. GANDA NG INFO. Same sentiments every time I screen a new client. Ang hirap kasi nowadays na gusto ng tao sobrang bilis ng results pero mali mali ang info about fitness, especially nutrition and diets, dahil sa mga nakikita nila on social media or lalo na, dahil sa mga "influencers" na may agenda rin magpromote ng products nila without thinking about the consequences na mangyayari sa mga followers nila na di naman talaga nagfafact check and basta na lang naniniwala. Buti na lang may mga ganitong content to explain and educate 'cause if it was me, it'd probably be like a TED Talk pero maraming bashing involved lol. KEEP IT UP.

Growing up with a terrible relationship with my body and food (still bad but it's getting better now), I blindly follow people who preach fast weight loss by restricting food and taking slimming supplements. These "influencers" should be careful with what they say on social media.

When I was younger, I tried all the slimming pills, shakes and coffee. After I stopped my weight tripled. Now I am in my 40s, I realized that exercise, eating whole foods and avoid junk foods is the key. Calorie deficit rin ako. No shortcuts to weight loss. Nice video ❤

I’ve been dealing with my Pospartum body for almost 2 years. Hinayaan ko lang kasi breastfeeding ako so sabi ko bawi nalang next time. So now, trying to lose weight kasi dati malaki din ako from 182lbs to 145 lbs then nagbuntis lumaki ulit. So trying ako now. Nagbabawas ng kain and it works. Don’t pressure ourselves. Maybe lose weight to make us healthy para na din sa anak natin para maabutan pa tayo hanggang pagtanda.

Yes! Yes! Yes! After almost a decade of yoyo-dieting and starving myself, I realized that all I needed was to eat clean and be on a cal deficit. I've lost about 14kg (90kg to 76kg) since the start of 2023, still eating what I love (in healthy amounts) and never had a hungry stomach. Most of the change I did was switch to brown rice, I eat veggies daily and mostly chicken, fish, and tofu are my mains. Pork and beef are reserved for special occasions. Not to mention I saved a lot of money. I spend 1.5k in the palengke that's good for 2 weeks (not including the brown rice) Had a checkup recently and all my stats are in the normal range! (Lost weight despite having PCOS)

i remember a doctor from Australia already debunked the truth against luxeslim and any laxative coffees but he ended up being sued. this is very brave of you. i hope everyone watch this so they will know about the truth of these slimming coffees. Anyways, about the no rice diet, they are people that are able to healthily lose weight without rice. like me, I've done lowcarb to keto diet when I was single.. now na mommy na ako mejo hirap na ako without rice bcause I'm a fulltime breasfeeding mom but I'm planning to go back to that diet. I am a fan of Viy Cortez and I am also trying to lose weight. I am no mother but I am obese. As I see how drastic her progress is, I get insecured bec I also wanted to have that type of result. However, I couldn't achieve it. I am also a nurse so the work shift does play a role on when and how should I work out. I told that to my partner and he said a good insight. He told me a lot of factors. Viy has all the money and time she needs to do it. I on the other hand don't. She goes to clinics to let her skin get "firmed" which help her appearance and lose weight. She has premium home gym equipment, i go to an open gym. She gets her meals prepared and calculated meticulously, i on the other hand, have to preare it myself depending also on my time available. In short, she has the resources, and some of us don't. In terms of the "slimming drink", business is a business. She is partnered and the endorser so she has to do what she has to do. On the other hand, if that helped her lose weight, who are we to judge her. That's her body she can do whatever She wants. But I admit, it is not the healthy way. I'd rather stick to my whey protein than succumb myself from false promises.❤

I do dance at home.. Work around out side the house.. Or dance.. I am getting there. No more excuses.. I dont have equipments.. Just doing regular exercise at home

Kasu ina-associate lagi yung weight loss products para madami maniwala na effective tapos kapag nagkaroon backlash biglang may PS. lols May we all be careful with everything we see on social media, most of the time puro for marketing na lang talaga ung intentions (though wala naman masama sa pag-market basta hindi misleading ung claims) without researching kung anong possible effects sa overall health journey ng mga followers at makakabasa ng post.

I lost around 8kg from January this year up to present (slight deficit but I did resistance/strength training 4-5x a week) My weight loss is still noticeable even though it seems I only lost a little on the scale. I also don’t have loose skin. Hers was too fast, maybe too much restriction on food with little/no exercise

I am glad that I found you here on KZbin, especially since losing weight is trending after years of the pandemic (most people went through stress eating / eating habits). I am also on a diet but I did not remove rice from my diet but more of portion control and intermittent fasting. Hopefully, you'll talk about it as I want to learn more about it.

Thank you for this content. I am not Viy's follower but I feel like something is not right. I personally tried Luxe Slim but it did not really suppress my appetite but I liked it's taste (the coffee). I also tried Coffee Shape detox for a few months but I stopped drinking it because I felt it will not be good to my colon and I do not like the feeling of relying on it just to have a regular bowel movement. To all moms out there, wag tayong mapressure masyado. I have an FB friend who said that I looked fat after seeing my mother's day post which was only few days after I gave birth. I felt irritated and of course I had post partum blues but luckily, people around me like my family and my husband are very supportive. I sometimes still feel insecure whenever I see my old pics but my husband reassures that there is nothing to be ashamed for. Also, celebrities and influencers they are privileged and they can afford cosmetic procedures, personal chefs and trainers.

Share ko lang. I gave birth September 2022. May mga moments lalo na pag nag sscroll ako sa socmed, nagiging insecure ako. Namimiss ko dati kong katawan. 60 kilos ako pandemic era nung nauso ang home workout and now 70+++ kilos na. Breastfeeding mom ako, direct latch pa. Pero palagi kong iniisip na para sa baby ko ito and ayaw ko din ipressure sarili ko. Hindi pa kaya ng time ko mag exercise and ayaw ko din magutom. Gusto ko na din sana subukan mag diet pero sabi ko mali nga ginagawa ko. Kaya sa ngayon enjoy muna sa mom life and embracing my mom bod. Kahit na may mga times parin na nahihiya na ako sa katawan ko plus mga sinasabi pa ng iba na ang laki ko na daw. Hinahayaan ko nlng sila.

I had the same kinda situation when I tried the Luxe Slim. My body immediately responded to it few days after taking it in a different way. Imbis na di magutom, ambilis ko magutom for some reason. And one time napansin ko na lang na mas matakaw ako since taking it. Tas ayun naospital ako which I think natrigger from eating chicken inasal na too oily and fatty. I blacked out while we were in the restaurant. I can’t breathe at that point so they took me to A and E. When I had the findings, nakita nung friend ko na nurse na mataas yung bilirubin. “Bilirubin passes through the liver and is eventually excreted out of the body. Higher than usual levels of bilirubin may indicate different types of liver or bile duct problems.” This is when it hit me na luxe slim could be the cause of it so I stopped taking it. I got really scared after that. From then, I became so cautious na and went back to natural weight loss by exercising and balanced diet. No to garcinia cambogia from now on for me. It’s even scary that most of the weight loss products or appetite suppressants got this ingredient. SMH

thanks for bringing this up.what VC failed to mention is her non-invasive procedures at a spa according to someone who saw her frequent there. What she was promoting was low carb and diet coffee. This is putting so much pressure on new mothers and women with body dysmorphia.

I just discovered your channel and so glad I did. I have lost about 80 lbs. within the last year. The first thing most of my Filipino friends/acquaintances ask me is if I stopped eating rice. Lol. They're usually really shocked when I tell them I still eat rice everyday and that I have not eliminated any food group in my diet. I totally bought into the misinformation of diet culture for the longest time. I still struggle to dispel some of the stuff that I have held on for most of my adult life. I've finally stopped labelling foods as good or bad, clean or otherwise, etc. I'm so lucky I get free health coaching through work and that I have an awesome dietician who's helping me reframe my mindset about food and nutrition. So thankful for people like you!

I am a breastfeeding mom, 1yr postpartum (3rd baby) and was very depressed about my 80kg weight gain. I returned to my favorite workout: Jump Rope slowly. It has been 3 months since I started working out and I haven’t stepped back on the weighing scale, I believe more on progress when my old jeans fitted back and was able to wear my wedding ring again and even my engagement ring from 6 yrs ago. Hindi na ako hinihingal makipaghabulan sa kiddos and can last longer with taking care of them. I am not on restrictive diet because I am still breastfeeding exclusively. I eat in moderation and follow the “pinggang pinoy”. I have been in Yo-Yo all my life and this is the first time that I felt right because of non-restrictive diet. Malayo pa pero malayo na sabi nga nila. Mas madali magsustain ng habits if you are happy with what you eat and do. I am a foodie kaya hindi talaga uubra ung restrictions. Thank you, Jo, for continuously inspiring us! I hope mommas out there will find their way to appreciate their bodies postpartum or create a body that they want whenever they are ready to work on it again. We always deserve to eat!💙

I know that there are reasons why I bumped into this video of yours. I've been struggling in my diet because of me having this sedentary lifestyle. Thinking that these suppliments youve mentioned will help me alot. But me, having a medical background as well got realized after watching your video that this would affect my health in a long run. Yes, I can see some result right now but I must think of the future effects of these suppliments in my kidneys and liver. I will start to shift to a better lifestyle soon. I am 1&3 mos post partum momma and being frustrated sa pagpapayat like to loose weight talaga and I cam across your video, itong brand pa naman na to ang nasa algo ng tktk search results ko and aaminin nkakaka enganyo talagang magtry ng products nila, kaya itong video mo na to ang masasabi ko na that made me pause sa binabalak kong “short cut”method. OMG i needed this video thank you. I wanted to lose weight not for anything else but due to fatty liver issues. Our family is unfortunate enough that majority of our relatives dies with liver issues so our doctor suggested to aid our meds with weight lose it so hard to the point I want to take meds to suppress my appetite. Good thing saw this video. I wish you can create contents of diet that helps liver health. Many of Filipino’s have fatty liver. More power to you and continue making videos

This is the first video of yours that I watched and thank you for being truthful and informative. Same as everyone, I really struggle with weight loss especially when I got older (specifically when I turned 30). It is very frustrating for me coz since I was a kid and well into my late 20s I was not "fat", I never had to watch my weight coz somehow it never changed, I always maintained it. A series of events and situations happened later and I just found myself transforming into a double, triple version of my self and I never managed to get back to my original body structure. Idk why I dumped all of this here haha but just saying, our desire to look good fast really have us doing everything that we don't even care about consequences. I did try those slimming coffees, slimming pills before but as you said, they were just not sustainable, some of them will make you sick, and you will just gain back all the weight (and more) if you stop taking them. I know because it happened to me.

I needed to watch this! Currently 31 weeks pregnant and I am getting pretty conscious na to the point I am planning already how to lose the weight fast after I give birth.😬 instead of prioritizing to let my body heal first or with my little one on her nutrient needs and other needs that does not include prioritizing weight loss muna

Nakakapressure/trigger din minsan when there are news that suddenly pops up from your feed (kahit di naman ata nasa algorithm mo) from influencers, celebrities sa social media that they lost an X amount of weight after just giving birth in a short span of time. Grateful for the unfollow button, remove notification options or mute in social media!😀

as a dietitian myself. This is always what I tell to those who ask me regarding their diet routines. is it "SUSTAINBLE" in the long run. Yung hindi nararamdaman ng katawan mo na parang nilulugi o niloloko mo nalang ang katawan mo para pumayat lang. tapos bibigay ka after a while then this will lead (and most of the time) to even higher weight gains. kaya I told them to work on their choice of foods and ALWAYS WALK as much as possible. libre na nakatipid ka pa. :)

Thank you for sharing this po. Me as a first time mom of a 2yrs old baby. Nagpa breastfeed at laging puyat pagkain laging hanap. Kaya tumaba din talaga ako. Sobrang hirap magpapayat lalo laging pagod sa gawaing bahay at pag aalaga ng bata.
