Part 7: • Johnny Chang on Being ...
Part 9: • Johnny Chang on FBI Ar...
Part 1: • Johnny Chang on Growin...
--------
In this clip, Cavario started off asking Johnny Chang about linking up with Wah Ching after leaving youth authority, and he went on to speak about their war with another gang called “Asian Boyz.” Cavario then brought up a 2006 incident between a Wah Ching member, and Johnny stated that he was familiar with the incident, but he added that he wasn’t directly involved. From there, he spoke about riding with the gang, and Johnny added that he’s friends with a lot of Asian Boyz today. Johnny explained that he realized that a lot of wars were unnecessary, including beefing over women, and he added that both sides have a lot of the same values. This led to a discussion about when his thoughts changed on the politics within the gangs, and Johnny explained that after getting to know opps in prison, he realized that there are good people on the other side.

Former azn gang banger here and this is true! I was banging at the ages of 14-17 got locked up and went through the system.. by the time I turned 20-21 I wanted to change my life and go legit and went to college and a lot of the old opps were there.. at first there was tension but after some time we all became friends with the same stories and talked about different gang bangin fights from our perspective.. it was really cool and there is mutual respect now

Yessir. When I met Johnny he told me all the Asian gangs in the SGV are like one big family now. They get invited to each other's baby showers and other important family functions. Same with the triads in Macau who fought a gang war in the '90s with dozens of shootings and bombings and even attempted assassination of the portuguese cops who were the authorities in Macau at the time. When China reclaimed Macau and the 14K's Dragonhead Wan Kuok-koi got released from prison his former enemies threw him a welcome home party and they joined forces to run the casino rackets.

Its a beautiful thing to see Asian unity. At the end of the day we all have gold skin, black hair, hunter eyes, and strong facial bone structure. We're 4% of the population but get targeted by pinks, blacks and browns. If us Asians cliqued up (ea/sea/pacific islander/ native american) we can fight back against the terrorists attacking our elderly, women, and children. That's MANDO, not for BACK TALK.
@mouacheemeng

Just know ppl will all call us Asians racist for fighting back bro. I used to get picked in school because I was quiet and shy and when I fought back ppl would call me angry Asian dude or crazy yellow man. A lot of Asian gangs were formed to fight off racism against other race and that was a fact. I remember bringing a ‘Hmong knife’ to school because I kept getting bullied and people threaten to call the police on me. Mind you it was just me rolling by myself going against multiple people.

@@mouacheemeng yea the past was horrible I remember how it was for me in middle school and some of high school dealing with some racist stuff but I went to s very diverse highschool so I kinda got the tail end of when it was really bad. But my fear is that people becoming more racist because of the internet and if that's the future we're headed for what did the people who came before sacrifice for.
@mouacheemeng
@mouacheemeng Жыл бұрын
@@AtibaVV my cousins formed a Hmong gang called PB (Purple Brothers 612) in Minneapolis, MN. They also had an alliance with the well known Hmong gang called MOD (Menace of Destruction 301), which in fact had many chapters in many states. It was created to fight off racism from literally everybody from Hispanics, Whites, Blacks and even other Asians. The 90s was the most violent era when it came to violence because there were so much gangs, that you were either in a gang to be protected or you had to fight solo.
