Clancy, I get the guilt before I’m going on a vacation whenever I cannot take my dog with me. Once I’m away, I’m OK, and then I’ll miss him sometimes while on the vacation. Most of the time when I go up to North Georgia to stay in the mountains I bring him with me and stay in a pet friendly cabin. But next month I will be going on an Alaska cruise. I have to fly to Seattle from Tampa, and I will be gone 12 days. I have a pet sitter that makes visits to my home when I can’t take my baby with me. If you do decide to drive so that you can take Asher, just try to take rest breaks every hour or hour and a half along the way. It’s important that you be comfortable!

Talk about your pregnancy 100% since this is the focus of your life right now. Don’t be sorry about what’s relevant and will be all consuming for you the rest of your life. I’m an empty-nester, & am living for your pregnancy vlogs. People will come, go, and complain about your vlogs regardless. Take Ash with you to NY, it’s the only way you’ll be content, even if you have Zach travel with him. If you drive, plan on stopping regularly, whatever that means to you. Blessings always.

As a 74 yr old grandmother, here is a little ( I mean little) advice! Normally, I would say, "Who needs a $1000 chair?"! But, I think you are smart going with a very good chair since you can afford it! Should you have a colicky baby, or God forbid, a baby with an illness of some kind (my first son had bad asthma from three months on), you will spend a LOT of time in that chair! The stroller is another matter. It depends on the terrain you will be taking walks on and how much room you have in your vehicle for storage on trips. My son lives in a Pittsburgh suburb that is very hilly. I bought them a (expensive to me) $400 convertible that had a spring suspension. It was perfect for them as they walked everywhere on those hills! I just can't see $1000 for a plastic stroller! Good luck and never think that talking about your pregnancy is weird! Like a previous person said, this is a legacy for your children. Be proud and loud! As an old lady, I enjoy your videos!

Graco stroller/carseat combo 100%. They are SO nice! Graco is a classic brand, good price, tried and true! I got one that starts off as a bassinet and I absolutely loved that for daily walks around the neighborhood and then when out and about with family or whatever, it was a place for her to sleep. You don’t need to spend a ton for quality!

When it comes to traveling while pregnant, especially in your 3rd trimester, it’s recommended to stretch every 1 or 2 hours. When I was 6 months pregnant, we drove from GA to MI for my baby shower and I developed a blood clot in my leg and had to stay the night in the emergency room. Scariest night of my life!

I nursed my daughter for 14 months and my biggest piece of advice if you want to nurse is to meet with a lactation consultant after you give birth. 100% the reason for my success!! Also, don’t stress too much about finishing every little touch of the nursery before baby is here. They’ll be in your room for a while anyways. I was so worried about it and we literally never went in there 😂

I have pretty severe PCOS and I breastfed for 9 months. I was never able to produce enough but I actually loved that! Combo feeding (formula and breastmilk) was a huge blessing. Babies eat sooo many times a day/night and being the only one able to do it is overwhelming. We started with just one bottle a day before “bed” so I could have some alone time each evening before another long night of solo breastfeeding. The guys got it so easy! 😆

New first time mom here and I 1000000% swear my by up baby vista v2 stroller with the bassinet add on. We even use the bassinet inside with the stand. My son is 11 weeks and we’ve already gotten so much use out of it, it’s so well made and glides over all different terrains. I’m so glad we went with a higher end stroller for sure.

As for your puppy predicament/question you asked at the end, I would highly recommend listening to your mom on this one. I’m on my second pregnancy and I’m currently in the third trimester and you reach a point where you have to take it sooo easy. You already will have the stress of traveling and making it to the events. It would actually not only be in your benefit but in Asher’s benefit as well because despite the symptoms you surely will be feeling, there’s a lot of unpredictability that comes along with pregnancy and having your puppy there could actually put him in a more compromising situation. I’m sure you’ll make the right decision for you though and I’m so excited for everything coming up ahead!!!🩷🩷🩷🩷

Stroller advice! Go for at least a mid-range to expensive stroller! The big difference I'd say is the wheels on the cheaper ones will wear our pretty quickly making it harder to push eventually. Especially if you end up having multiple kiddos, a good stroller is worth the investment. One where you can pop their car seat in and out is a must as well!
@CECILIAMORGAN
@CECILIAMORGAN 5 ай бұрын
RE: stroller. Some expensive ones are bad and some cheap ones are good. Don’t pick by price. Pick by features. Things to look for. 1. Can you easily fold it up and open it up. Bonus points if it is so easy you can do it with one hand as this might be a real life scenario. 2. Can you click your car seat easily into stroller so when baby is sleeping you don’t wake them up to move to stroller but just click in the car seat. 3. What are main uses for strollers. Outside? Shopping? Then consider do you want a narrow stroller to navigate aisles and crowded malls or have good navigation and suspension, brakes etc. for outdoor use. Do you want an outdoor stroller aka jogging stroller and an inside shopping stroller so maybe splurge on one and get cheaper of the other. Or something that works for all. #1 by far feature is how well it folds up and opens as you will be getting this thing in and out multiple times a day unless you never plan to leave the house.

If the baby sleeps in your room the first few months (which is usually the case since they need frequent feedings/changings), you might spend less time in a chair than you think! At least for me I found it much more convenient to have the bassinet next to me and then nurse my babies in bed since I was already there and it’s cozy and comfy. I was so tired I didn’t even want to think about moving any more than I had to 😂 I actually rarely used a chair for any of my 3 children until they were about 8 months old and slept in their own rooms. I don’t think many people use it during the newborn stages though!

I 1000% recommend the Graco Modes Pramette travel system. It starts out as a bassinet option which is amazing since *technically* you're not supposed to walk with the baby in the car seat, so the bassinet is awesome until they can sit upright in the stroller :)

For the stroller, i have bought the evenflo pivot for both of my kids and I LOVE it. I love that it has the bassinet so the baby can sleep, but I also love that I could just go in a corner and change the baby without having to use a public restroom changing table. I was able to use it until they were each at least 3 then, then I transitioned to an umbrella stroller. It also comes with the car seat and base so you'll just need an extra base for your 2nd car. It comes with The stroller (the wheels) Bassinet Car seat Base

You don’t need a super expensive stroller. It depends if you’re an outdoor person and if you’re going to go out a lot and where you are going parks and trails or malls? Also think about you’re going to be stuck home during the winter you won’t be taking the baby out a lot. Research if you want a stroller/car seat combo. Those are great. The Doonna is a great stroller/car seat combo but it will last maybe 6-8 months depending how big your baby is. I highly recommend it. You will need a different stroller when the baby gets bigger no matter what.

Splurge on the stroller IF you’ll use it daily. Don’t if you’re not going to do daily walks. Just get a good travel stroller that’s small. (I hated bringing my big expensive stroller into stores. It felt too big) We get our dog food and diapers from Costco and I feel like we save a lot of money. Costco diapers are also the best in our experience. Plus they have formula if you ever need it. They also have free fast delivery on diapers so you don’t have to run to the store every time.

If you feel this way about your dog, can you imagine how you will feel about your baby? I tried for 9 years to have a baby! I have never left her with anyone, been out to dinner, or a vacation without her for 14 years!!!! It’s not that I couldn’t be without her, but when you are married for so many years before having your miracle you don’t have any want or need to be without them! I could use a break sometimes from the teenage hormones, but I don’t regret being with her all the time! I still miss her when she is at school!!!!! 😢

I have the Chicco Corso Le stroller and I love it! It cost $400. It has a nice leather handle and really sturdy wheels. The cheaper strollers have plastic wheels that don’t seem super strong. We’ve been using our stroller 1-3 times a day for 9 months and love it! It feels luxury without paying $1,000!

I suggest that you invest in a BOB stroller for walking/jogging. It was probably my favorite baby investment. I also suggest that you “play” with the car seats, strollers, etc and see what feels good to you when you move and unlatch the various parts (is it clunky, is it smooth, etc). We had a Chicco infant seat and then later moved into Britax seats. They are expensive but highly rated and were easy to use, cleaned well, comfortable for babies.

I didn’t have bad back pain until the 9th month but everyone is different you will have to wait and see how you’re feeling as you get closer

Stroller advice: look for how well it folds, cup holder, and don’t for the absolute cheapest. I did with my first and it WORKED, but was very frustrating. Just upgraded to one that was about $250 and it is a little life changing lol. Mainly because it folds up smaller and easier

I was gifted the Graco snugride travel system from Target and I think its really nice!! The stroller is awesome and lightweight I just keep it folded up in the back of my car and the carseat clicks right into it so its easy to take baby into stores or stroller rides while they are still small. Its very convenient!!

Hey Clancy! Regarding your question to take Asher along, is it doable? Anything is doable, but depends how uncomfortable you are etc. It may be something you’ll have to consider once you get closer! ❤️

Don't apologize for talking about your pregnancy. This is the stage of your life in. Celebrate it. I'm older than you. I didn't have kids. I have had dogs. That is what I enjoy. I love watching your journey.

Just had my first baby boy a week ago via emergency unplanned c section! We got a stroller set from Target that works wonderful compared to the expensive 1k one we originally wanted. We splurged on nursery items and the Doona which is life saving
