For black tea: you make it a higher temperature and let it sit for 3-5 minutes usually. While green tea is a lower temp (no way near boiling) for 1-2 minutes! I used to be a brand manager for a tea brand a few years ago and learned all of this back then! :)

Thanks for being real. As a parent I felt you when you said “that’s not the kind of parent I want to be”. Some days are just like that and sometimes I tell my kids some variation of “so sorry I was grumpy with you or had a tough day.” Luckily, they are so sweet, even as preteens, to understand and even sometimes mid grump, give me a hug, which resets me. Showing our kids that parents aren’t perfect is ok.

I had a much needed lazy day earlier this week. I did the basics as a parent and but spent just about the entire day on the couch and on my phone. At dinner time we talked about our day and I said I didn’t think I was a great mom today and told hubs what I did. Our daughter (4 yrs) came around and gave me the biggest hug and kiss. Dad asked her if I was a good mommy today and she said yeah! Duh!!! I share this because it reminds us to take slow days as parents and that clearly you’re doing a great job because your kids understand when you have slower days and aren’t always doing the maximum stuff each and every day

Multiple kiddos, especially littles, is so so hard. We have three 7 and under. Some days it feels like we’re failing and some days we don’t really like each other. I ALWAYS go to my subscriptions tab and watch the creators i want to watch. I don't watch alot of YT, so when I do I am only watch my og subscriptions. On occasion, when I have enough time to watch more, I will go to my home page. Its so weird to me that people watch from the home page first. My husband does because he rarely subscribes to channels, but he has creators that always pop up on his home feed that he will always watch. It's just interesting how different people consume KZbin content.

When I pull up KZbin, the first thing I do is go to my subscribed list and add any video that I'm interested in that someone has posted to my watch later list. Then I open the list and just binge everything. Then, when I'm don't, I go to the home page and add videos that look interesting to my watch later and then binge those. But I'm always watching videos from people I'm subscribed to first before anyone else.

I’m so glad to hear you talk about the hard days. I have a son the same age as your oldest and since he has turned 6 I feel like it’s just been harder during the days. There are nights in feel so guilty about losing my patience. Nice to hear other people are feeling the same way. It’s so easy to compare ourselves all the time to the perceived perfection online.

Literally everyone has those moments. Guilt only serves to hold us back from moving forward and keep us in that uncomfortable place. When that happens, regulate yourself, apologize, and help them regulate. I know that sounds so simple, but the trick is finding what helps you regulate yourself (are most of your needs going unmet leaving you quick to lose your patience?) and what helps them to regulate. Also, it's ok on some of those days to just do something simple and fun like give up on the plan and to-do list and go to the park or put on a movie and watch together. It's not an every-time response, but sometimes when no one can get back to a calm center you just need to pare down to no expectations and reconnect. 💓💓

Warning: This is going to be the LONGEST comment EVER! First, I ABSOLUTELY ❤d this vlog❣️ Your honesty really makes connecting to you so easy. Also, DANG girl! Dat booty in your flared leggings though! OK, moving on... one of the things which helped me tremendously was learning that just because I have a feeling, it doesn't mean I have to act on it. Controlling your own behavior is a skill. First, you need to practice recognizing undesirable behavior when it first arises. Then, ask yourself, how can I make this moment better? This will take practice, and the more you do it, the more natural it will become. And always remember, you ARE only human. Learning to forgive ourselves is one of the hardest things for us to do if you're the kind of person with an enormous guilt complex. You're constantly growing. The great thing is, your girls will learn as you learn. I think most of us are familiar with "Children Learn What They Live." And finally, I recently bought a titanium cutting board from Amazon, and it is so thin, lightweight, easy to clean, I ❤ it! Black tea can generally be steeped longer yes! Personally I do 1-2 mins for green tea, and 4-5 mins for black tea. I like black tea fairly strong though, my mom only does 3-4 mins for it.

Nobody has it all together. Everybody has those parenting days. Yes days. We’re all human. And they will continue to happen every once in awhile…and that’s OK! The good news is they aren’t permanent, it’s truly just a moment in time when you look back on it. And I think it’s good for our kids to see that we are just people too. We get upset, angry, moody, sad, tired etc etc. As long as you address it apologize if necessary and move on. They really can be trying little punks at times😂😂 You are not alone mama. Just wanna say that I've found my select youtubers that I love to watch. (You included in that) I got my notifications on. I only look on my subscription page. (Because that's what I care about) and if I feel like I miss something or just wanna something comforting, I go to the page of the person I'm subscribed too. That's why I'm like never on Instagram. I want to see who I am subscribed too. That's the reason I click the button. Because that's who I wanna see! I hate that Instagram doesn't give you that option. It's all filled with random people and not who I chose to follow. Why have that option of "following" if I can't even see their posts? Rooibos is great for a tea that doesn’t get bitter the longer you brew. Green and black tea will get bitter, so if you want it stronger you need to use more tea. My favorite is usually around the 4 minute mark if I use 200°(F) water. Green tea is lovely brewed at a lower temp as well, so if you’re using an herbal, white, or green, play with water temps and brew times to find your ideal flavor ❤
