VLOG: trying my best + stepping outside of my comfort zone

In regards to "trying my best", a mentor of mine in college would often use the phrase, "Do your lousy best." It really spoke to me because when we feel like we're failing or falling short, we may want to up and quit or run away from what we're learning... but if we acknowledge that our best never means perfection, it's a little easier to keep cranking away.

I also have usually have vein issues when doing bloodwork and have found that chugging water 40-60 min. before the appointment makes them much more "visible" to the technician! Could be worth a shot 😘

Girl, I don't see you falling short of Anything EVER!! It's good for you to be honest with yourself and us. Because it's hard when you see someone beautiful and killing it in work, relationships, pet care, beautiful new home with beautiful new furnishings, hot clothes, and just a Beautiful person. It's a constant reminder to not compare myself to others. Especially when my life is actually very blessed. We all can look at greener grass...on the other side, you know?

Just a note from a fellow celiac- not all Kiehls products are gluten free so just a tip in case you end up trying the ones in the package they sent you. Some people say gluten particles are too big to penetrate the skin but I don’t like having gluten anywhere in or on my body just to be safe in case I ever touch my skin, hair etc and then eat something with my hands

I go to club pilates and they have a center and balance and a restore class which focus on stretches and roller muscle classes. I do one or 2 of those per week with my flow classes! Hope you get your flexibility back soon!

Love your vlogs. You have introduced me to many new products. As someone with an auto immune disease, it was recommended that I do not use fluoride. I do get therapeutic massages with muscle testing, do foundation training (isolating muscles and breath), yoga, Tai Chi, acupuncture, energetic treatments, and take many supplements, herbs and vitamins. I use and diffuse essential oils. I am gluten sensitive, do not eat dairy products made with cows milk, eat less meat and more plants and plant proteins, greens, some grains some fruits and more vegetables, all organic, some nuts, very little processed foods, sugar or refined processed carbs. I drink lots of purified water, no artificial sweeteners, very little caffeine and take epson salt baths to detox. Along with lots of sleep this process has worked for me. I do get more tired with the heat and have trouble when it is cold with staying warm. Swimming is a great sport for me.

Autoimmune Granny talk: Best thing I ever heard “ You are on your death bed. What do you wish you spent more time on”? THAT is the top of the list moving forward. Would you wish you worked harder? Would you wish you’d spent more time cleaning? Would you wish you worried about what people think about you? NO!!! Remember that “It’s good enough” is not a bad thing when it’s not something that’s on your death bed wish list. Do MORE if the things that make you laugh regardless of how it looks to anyone else, including your loved ones. It will be something they happily remember about you if you got hit by a bus in a year. Dark! NO! It’s one of the realities of life. Yes we all have to work and most at jobs we don’t like but it’s a necessary thing to eat. You have a unique job. So tweak it to be the thing that also makes YOU happy.

Awe look at sweet Max kiss him for me. He has the sweetest eyes. In my thirties i wore cowboy boots with everything shorts dresses pants just everything. I am 70 now and i remember i had a supervisor that told me i was the only person who dressed like a gypsy and looked good lol. i use to buy the uglyest pair of shoes that no one else would wear just don't ask me why lol. You mentioned flouride on here. Please research that because you seem conscious about gluten and other things due to health reasons. There are several dental places who don't use flouride for a reason and a lot of health conscious people don't even use flouride toothpaste for a reason.
