you as vocal coach are a disgrace cause you need to learn that everybody sings songs in their own way, and keela settle is singing it in the correct way and just because someone is singing a song different then you it dosent mean its wrong so if you dont have anything nice to say, then dont say anything

Actually, the reason her voice is like that in the start of the video is because she was SUPER nervous as it was the first time she had sung the song in front of a crowd. If you notice it shows in her facial expression how nervous she it. that is why you see Hugh Jackman grab her hand. In addition, about the middle of the song you can see her get more comfortable around everyone cause she starts putting more feeling into the song and also starts relaxing and actually dancing to it. Then the emotion of it hits her, you can see her hand shaking when she reaches out to Hugh Jackman. If you watch the full original video of this song, she even says so in the beginning.

@feelingReckless135 ай бұрын
the writers of the song won the award the year before, that's why. (It's not a good enough reason imo, they still should've won because they wrote an insanely gorgeous anthem and hired the most incredibly woman in the world to sing it, but yeah, that's why: a dumb technicality.)

Loren Allred, the voice behind Never Enough with the curly hair, Carrie Manolakos, Jeremy Jordan, Ben Thompson who sings the another round of bullets part. The whole room was basically all quality Broadway talent. That's Justin Paul playing the piano, of Pasek & Paul, who wrote all the music for Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hanson, and more. There was an absurd amount of talent in that room.

Great backstory. Keala is a brilliant singer but she said that she had been "hiding" New York for some time. Hugh Jackman knew her, and wanted her in the movie. Keala thought that she was only going to do the workshop but Jackman had other plans and practically had to drag her in. Boy did that pay off. Her performance in the movie is superb and if you want to see Keala just crushing the song live look up the video of her appearance on The Graham Norton show. It's astounding. The other incredible thing about the workshop was that Jackman had a cancerous growth removed from his nose the day before and had 80 stitches. Jeremy Jordan was subbing for Hugh but part way through the number, Hugh couldn't help himself and took over the number while Jordan, no small talent, was in awe. A lot of the stitches broke and Hugh had to rush back to his doctor to get them redone. Just incredible stories about a movie that got green lit at this workshop and went on to become a smash hit.

Music is an amazing gift to give and witness! I've read a good number of comments and cannot disagree. Sometimes the emotion and natural way a scene plays out exceeds the perfection of a song that's been sung by someone gifted in that field professionally. Quality and perfection is relative to each of our interpretations. It may be stated elsewhere ... my interpretation of her expression and emotion is certainly the words, meaning and fullness of what it represents ... But I see something more build within her ... self reflection, personal differences in the life she's led up till then; struggles that she's endured and overcome, and the fact that she's there, in that moment ... giving voice to all those feelings that go unshared but are now tumbling out ... I've learned to be ashamed of all my scars Run away, they say No one'll love you as you are But I won't let them break me down to dust I know that there's a place for us For we are glorious This is brave, this is bruised This is who I'm meant to be, this is me And additionally recognizing how profound it is for herself along with all those people she represents! We can relate ... she represents all humankind, our imperfections and differences! Truly beautiful to witness the raw transition as each person there can't help be participate and be spellbound in that moment. That's magical! Beautiful in all it's imperfection!
