I was able to hear the difference in characters. From this demo alone, It sounds like you have a good voice for narration, audiobooks, doing voice overs for movie trailers, commercials, and the main character of a video game or animated movie (Pixar, DreamWorks, Disney). people are looking for someone like you, believe me. There is a youtuber named Bill Dewees who is a voice over actor and coach. He is super helpful. He does a live every day where you can ask him questions and he will answer. The voices sound pretty much identical and they don't sound natural. Sometimes, it sounds like one of those old tv ads for horror movies I also feel like it's a shame that you didn't include your everyday voice for us to compare and help you further Mind you, I have 0 experience with voice acting but I feel like a voice is like an instrument so keep training, try a lot of different thing and I'd also recommend you to learn how to sing it can help you to better understand your voice + you'll have more control over it I wish you good luck and don't feel discouraged !

You say you have no experience but for me those remarks are very accurate and helpful. Thnx for this post, appreciate your time. About the voice being identical; that was a conscious choice I'm afraid. I needed to create very specific type; oldschool, hard boiled, noir-like character, so if it sounds like old ad for horror film, I got the job done :)) I know how to sing, although I'm not a singer but you're right about it being a very good exercise. It helped me achive the lower notes more smoothly.

You sound the same in every role, you have to diversify each voice you do and not use the same tone over and over again

Hey, sorry for my late reply. Actually, after years of vocal training and... tormenting my vocal cords, this deeper voice is genuine. Because I look like a someone straight outta K POP band, it may seem unnatural. My role model has always been the late and amazing Kevin Conroy, so his voice is my goal.

Hi, I used an iPhone. Sometimes I cover the speaker slightly with a very thin fabric to reduce the 'PFF' sounds :)
