- Mike: That was unbelievable. - Tatiana: That wasn't even my ultimate form. Seriously, Pisces it's a begginers introduction. Tatiana can do lower growls (Home Back; Who's Gonna be the One [live], Pit of Conciousness [live]...), some epic melodic shit (I Speack Astronomy, Perennial [live], Bad Water...), full heavy non-stop stuff (Sit stay roll over, Words of Wisdom, Ape...), and blending with other genres in surprising ways (Judgment & Punishment, Beggar's Dance, this Pisces with those jazzy vibes...). The list it's too long. The resume is "just listen all their stuff". It's a prodigious vocalist, and the rest of the band it's also really talented and they're mastering their sound really well. One of the most exciting bands of the actual metal scene.

I really like how most voice teachers lack the terminology to define growling (I think Mike used the word growl somewhere in there, but without thinking it was the right word.)

Jinjer perineal live at wacken 2019 showcases her and why she’s on top

True. I went to their concert when they performed in my hometown in a small rock club for 100 people years ago. I've seen them performing as a support band for Arch Enemy and I've seen them at Wacken. Their performance was always noticeable better and I can't wait to see them live next time.

Serial Jinjer Pisces Vocal Coach Reaction video hobbyist here: Apart from the now classic pause followed by the flip reaction in the first chorus, I love 08:01 - 08:15 where he's smiling because he now expects the growl, but then his mind is blown AGAIN when Tatiana goes into the belt and then YET AGAIN when she hits the F5. I've just rewatched that part about ten times. Great stuff! These genuine, first-time reactions always make me smile. I was lucky enough to meet them in a small venue I worked at in Spain during one of their first European tours before they blew up and started playing all the big metal festivals.

You seem like a very genuine person and very open minded. Very appreciative when you admit when you don't know how to do something, but then do explain things when you do understand it. I love your reactions during these videos. I think you should check out a band called The Hu. They are a Mongolian Metal band that mixes traditional Mongolian throat singing, traditional Mongolian instruments, and blend it with modern Metal. Check out the song Wolf Totem or Yuve Yuve Yu.

I was waiting for this reaction so bad. So, since you loved Nightwish, Jinjer and you are diving into the metal music field, I would love to wacth some vocal analysis of Wintersun - Sons of Winter and Stars (Live rehearsal at Sonic Pump Studios) and Gojira - Global Warming (Live at Silver Cord Studio) and Arch Enemy - Nemesis (live in Tokyo). I hope you keep the Nightwish and Jinjer reactions (two of my favourite bands) and I would be very grateful if you consider my recommendations. Thanks so much for your reactions, your analysis on the music and the vocals are very nice. Cheers from Spain! PS: Take a look to the JInjer - Perennial (live at Wacken) and Jinjer - Who is Gonna be the one (live). I have seen them twice live, they're some serious musicians.

Yes, Wintersun and Gojira ❤️ Both have amazingly talented vocalists and musicians and are definitely as amazing live as they are in the studio. Some of the best concerts I've ever been at!

I've started describing them to people as Jazz Metal. Musically they're a jazz trio with a torch singer. They've got all these funky time signatures and the drummer does some amazing fills. The musicianship is amazing. Then add her abilities and you get...JAZZ METAL!!

There are other parts of this album like Beggars Dance, that are unambiguous, straight-up jazz.

That's a fair assessment. Still Life by Opeth kind of heads downs this sort of path as well - very strong jazz influences in the music.

You know, recording your wife and son's reaction and posting it for us would be fantastic. I just love Jinjer reactions where one person KNOWS what's coming but the others dont.
