This is one of my all time favourite Voiceplay videos. The little "gossip clique" is Geoff's, Layne's, and Eli's wives, and Earl's partner. And the sandwich delivery guy is Rek, their friend that recently passed away and that Halo theme was dedicated to. I love that!

The transitions in this are just genius! And yeah, I was also surprised Geoff did this arrangement-he’s a brilliant arranger so that wasn’t it, but usually if there’s goofy humor it’s a Layne thing. I’m so glad they got this done before Earl and J.None left-it wouldn’t be the same without them. BTW, the man who gave Earl the sandwich is Rek, the fallen comrade who was memorialized for the Halo Theme. I’m glad he had that walk on so we could see one of his many contributions to Voiceplay-helps make him real to the audience so we can also remember him. Great reaction!! I hope you went back and watched the whole thing through because I’m sure you were so caught up in the details that the whole of it didn’t really sink in. As always, though, I really appreciate your insights into the details that make the whole thing work.

Something no one ever seems to mention about this is during Pop!, they are playing with a bunch of things related to "pop." Balloons, bubble wrap, gum, bubbles, and soda (pop).

Geoff has described Earl's voice as like a laser, cutting through. He says things about "being in Earl's world". :) Eli is of course master of riffs and runs. The cry of every fan "no don't stop...." we always want more. And in this one especially they just give us teasers of what they can do. I don't know what you have planned but to hear a variety of riffs and runs I can only suggest Tennessee Whisky, where Eli, J.None and Geoff all do that famous run. It has been said, apparently, that a bass singer can't do a run like that. Well, Geoff can. :)

My favourite parts of this video is when one realizes that after Frankie Valli, all the choreography is directly from the music videos for each song. Frankie's being "Single Ladies" and the prior most likely taken from live performances.

Almost a half hour of Jennifer, what's not to like! 😊 They really did keep you busy in this one! Figured you'd have to stop and go back a lot of times with a medley. Fourteen songs and the transitions were really incredible. First just picking the songs, then choosing the order of the songs so those transitions can be smooth and clever like they were, just amazing right? Just a wonderful start to VoicePlay week Jennifer! My favorite thing that most people miss is the fact that fake love is a K-pop song and Eli has to sing in Korean! And his pronunciation is pretty good. I love this medley and all the vocals and dancing.

Such a fun arrangement, I think it's easy for the fans to just sit back and enjoy the humor and the singing (and the nostalgia) but it's great to see you break it down and point out the really great techniques they are using throughout this. With 14 songs to pay royalties to, they probably never made any money off of this! But it apparently won the poll they had put out about which video the fans wanted to see next and Geoff did a fantastic job expanding this and putting it together.'I see someone already alerted you to the fact that their spouses appear in this, but I don't think anyone mentioned that Rek Dunn is the guy dropping off the sandwich to Earl while they are gathered around the trash can. Don't know if you have seen/reacted to their Halo video, but it is dedicated to Rek.

Absolutely adore this. Fantastic arrangement by Geoff. I always love how they worked so hard at the choreo & then refused to take it seriously. It fascinates me how Eli just looks right in any era. Everyone's in this one, that's Earls's husband saying the wallet line to Geoff, Eli & Layne's wives & Rek "who they dedicated Halo to" delivers the sandwich!

Hi Jen, here's a suggestion for you, the epicness of Voiceplay (feat. Honey La Rochelle) AND Home Free in what started as one of their 'battle song' arrangements when they were on The Sing Off, not that they needed it. They did 'Survivor: zombies vs hillbillies' and it's amazing, with makeup and costumes, including Austin with incredibly buck teeth. Hopefully one of the songs this week is 'Just Sing' with multiple guests, if not I'd like to see a reaction to it in the future. I will also add, you need to have closed captions on for that video as they explain who all the guests are and if and when they've collaborated with VP

Im not a fan of Voiceplay most of the time as their performances are not usually my forte. This is by far my favorite song I have seen them do (prolly maybe because I am a 80s/90s kid and these songs are amazing).
