Marrow-Gnawer is a perfect commander. Imagine him with rat colony in the 1/4 Of the deck with a Thrumming Stone. 😉

Marrow-Gnawer real issue is that rats are a very mediocre tribe, unlike goblins they don't have any clear theme, no obvious win condition, less synergy and a lower average power. If rats had a few more rat-synergy cards, I think it would become a lot more enjoyable.

@@altromonte15 I understand where your opinion is coming from, dont get me wrong. but if build correctly, the fear mechanic from marrow-gnawer will let you go directly through your enemy. and the rat tokens you have is great for just blocking. and you can add cover of darkness to the deck too. so even if marrow-gnawer isnt present. you still get the fear mechanic and you can ad on all kind of flavours to your colony. I have souch a commander deck myself, and it works great and the ripple from thrumming stone catches alot of people off guard :) but hey, different people. different opinions.

Definitely relentless rats are better! And you throw in a coat of arms and akroma's memorial and rats are scary!

There is pros and cons for both colony and relentless. I run colony so I can have a few other cool rat cards in my deck :) but i totally see the point in going full on relentless. But consider the damage spike when marrow-gnawer is making rat tokens for the colony i quess its a question about preference :)

I love this set! Even now, my fave Commander is Toshiro draw/ramping to Myojin 5💀💀💀. Come to think of it, Cavern of souls would fit in the set...

Ran into a Keiga the Tide Star deck. Its whole thing revolved around stealing my stuff. Killing it then exiling it from the grave to put in the command zone to take advantage of the trigger.
