So... about three years ago, I watched your review and I bought three units for my old man, my little sister, and myself because of you and based on your review. Dad and sister still have ‘em. Mine was stolen and I got another GB40, the new version. Your box has been used, I assume, hundred times more than my dad’s and the damn thing still works. What else is there to be said? 🤷🏻♂️ We loved it and still do, and as you suggested, we never took another trip without it. I don’t care what people say about your review or GB40; those are dumasses with a lot of time on their hands; my dad and I remembered you and thanked you every time we needed to use this for ourselves, our neighbors or someone on the side of the road (happens a lot here in Oklahoma). God bless ya my man! God bless you!

I counted it started the truck 22 times. 18 times the first time 4 on the second try. I purchased the Noco BG70 a few years ago & never had to use it until this winter in Canada that was -40 celsius below. I had two coworkers that need and asked me for a boost off my vehicle. I grabbed my BG 70 without charging in between vehicles and started both no problem a week apart. This was in November of 2022 Alberta Canada was in a deep freeze cold. One night that same week i came out of work after 5 hours of sitting outside at -40 my vehicle did not start as well i jumped mine as well a few days after coworkers vehicles. It as well started mine no problem. That is 3 jumps off my BG 70 and its still at 100% charged. I will always have one of these in my vehicle & recommend ever one have one of these in there vehicle. I have an AMA membership which i could phoned for a boost but would have been 24 hours before they got there. I to have nothing to gain from my commit i work in a restaurant as a cook. I have no dealings with Noco brand other that i own one of there products. Last but least both coworkers bought a Noco GB70 because they saw how mine worked. In Canada we have Canadian Tire which is where i got mine from. For those that doubt how good these products are you can wait for a tow truck as i would not help out anyone that i came to help that criticized the product. No problem wait for the tow truck have fun wait at -40.

I bought a GB-70 in the fall of ‘22. I’ve never used it on my own vehicles, but I’ve jumped at least 10 vehicles belonging to friends, neighbours, and strangers - V8’s and in-line 4’s - both gasoline and diesel, and it’s performed flawlessly. Perhaps NOCO’s had production issues, or maybe buyers have done something wrong, or abused their jump boxes, maybe I just got lucky. Is it possible owners simply failed to bypass the ‘safety mode’ to jump an extremely flat battery? Like many, I too often skip the instruction manual. I think it’s a good product.

I must say! What a good informative video. For a V6 and 4 cylinder vehicles this unit is great. Im in process of researching for one of my friends who got this particular unit from his dad for a 2004 Ford F150. Thus seeing your other video on trying to start you Chevy Truck that was sitting for quite some time affirmed that this unit might not be strong enough for a V8 which I can really affirm this load test was true and to the point. Thank you so much, this kinda testing is really valuable and Companies like Noco really need the proper feedback on what there products are capable of doing. And for those who do nothing than hate on things like this really have nothing to say at all. shame on them...My Congratulations to you - with a solid handshake.

Just ordered one for my electric Hyundai Ioniq 5(p45). It’s a brand new car, but unfortunately not without bugs. 12v failure is a common el car trouble. The 25th of December 2021, my 12v battery was down to 4,90v. I think this device would be a lifesaver. There is no high ampere demand from an electric car, but I guess it could need as much as 50A at the most to get up and running. I hope and assume the GB40 will be a great tool for my needs years to come. Thanx for the video, happy new year!

I honestly love this box because of how portable and handy that it is. Kept me from being stranded at least a couple of times between awkward situations and finally heavy storms when I only waited on a break in the storm to quickly attach the cables and 5 minutes I was fired over after hooking up the cables in a cheaply maintained duty truck...lol...My only beef was with the cables (I purchased mine back in May of 2020 from Amazon); but NOCO sells the heavier set that you have on this video for like $38 that I'm seriously considering to speed up the process; otherwise it takes between 15 and 25 minutes to jump start a cold truck.

Very cool. I have a miata taking up space in my garage. I accidentally let the AGM battery run out and it no longer starts. It's off the road for a couple of years and I just need something to start it and move it up and down the driveway occasionally when I need space in the garage for projects. Seems like this would be a great alternative to wasting money on a battery that might not hold a charge by the time I register the car again.

I'm researching jump boxes, and have narrowed it down to NOCO. Videos like yours, has convinced me, that NOCO is the best choice. I'm going for the GBX55 for my 2015 3.6 Subaru Outback. It's overkill for it, but I want something that I can use to help others, who might have larger engines. As far as back charging, it's hilarious... As for all the hate for NOCO, I think it's more operator error, and just down right trolling.

Dante 880 is just saying that you could take the battery out of the vehicle and get it nice and warm inside. Then after about a day or so inside the house, hook up the Noco charger to it to drain and Recharge. The Noco will get the most charge into the battery as much as it will be allowed by the shape of the cells in the used battery. If the battery cells are good, then the charge should get closer to 100 %.
@ericstevenson190310 ай бұрын
They do not charge in reverse through the cables. Their diodes in there to prevent that the batteries would never stand to be charged @. Just the alternator puts out. Also, the battery pack inside is so small. You wouldn't believe it's about half. The size of a lantern battery 6 full letter, but it is 2150 milliamps. It's very small.

Not only am I a tech but a woman and have sold these to dozens of woman but men as well. Turn around time for AAA or tow can be more than 2 1/2 hrs or more. I have been called to recue and in 30minutes they are home already. Why wait in the dark for 5mins if you have this set up is less than 60 sec ( connect. cable, turn on flash light, press button to jump) wait 60 secs your in car start ignition. You have light, you have power and you can also charge mobile device. * sometimes you need a NEW battery and this will get you jump and on your way to a safe place in most cases. Its about getting out of where your at as QUICKLY as possible to a safer well lite well travel several people around place. I bring this every time and avoid the risk of damage to my BMW I have only hade on instance that it would not jump in 30 mins. And I had to use jumper cable and another vehicle in one year. I also fully recharge after every use so I never have seen how many charges before it dies. As a woman Don't want to take the risk that its me on the side of the road when it dies. thanks allot this was helpful. I seen it bee a LIFE saver for men and woman. I saved a bakers business on the way to deliver wedding cake and Mercedes broke down told 4 hrs for AAA already waiting for 2. Called me said she didn't trust getting a jump form someone on the side of the road. I got there and NOCO GB40 Boost Plus save her $1500 and she made her Delivery . Careful what you wish for. Next week you could be under 2 or 3 feet of snow. Thanks for watching. JC.

Glad it works for you. Mine is less than 18 months old and will no longer charge to even 75%. Glad I kept my crappy, heavy backup from 2007 that still works. Guess I got a lemon.

You should have paid for the 3 year or 5 year Insurance policy. They would have replaced it for another one.

Loving or hating it depends on the battery inside. These ar mass produced cells and sometimes there are some lemons or even a full lot of them doesn't work.
