carlos vilela The S40 might be different but on the P2 S60 all you gotta do is remove the airbox cover and the filter and slide a cone filter onto the tube

To gain clearance to remove the airbox you have to unbolt the motor mount on the left near the coolant res and tilt the engine back using a floor jack lifting from the bottom.

I have a s40.. that's all I had to do. it took me 2 sec to slide out.. why the hell would I have to do all that when I just have to disconnect the computer and 1 clip and 2 hose clamps and you pull it from the rubber garments then slide it out...

@@CM-nk6vh I don’t know what is different about your S40 2.4i... I don’t see how it’s possible without buggering anything up. The method I mentioned is what is in the service manual and having attempted to remove the airbox in several different ways I just don’t see any other way of easily gaining clearance. Maybe you can make a video for the world to see.

I also drop the engine mount to do it. I’ve done it so many times trust me it’s the fastest way. Just got this mod will confirm the 20 hp shortly

You could have used an hydraulic lifter to lift the motor a little, so that the air filter guard could come out easy. Not a saw!

The trick is to use 2 lifters, one to lift the Volvo to make enough room for the other one to lift the motor a little, loosening the motor bracket in the side of the antifreeze compartment. Going back to the topic: How´s the cold air intake doing? Did it work ok? I´ve heard this is used only for race cars with the ECU programming properly modified.

Thank you for this install video. I'm going to buy the same one from Viva Performance. Also, they do sell chrome mirror covers... I bought then and they look pretty sick. Are you guys on instagram btw? I'm working on my s40 as well and I just got done installing custom interior/exterior lighting and next I'm going to try the BluePower custom radio. Also, I would look into the EVOLVE body kit for the s40. I couldn't buy the kit because I have an 08 and apparently it's enough of a change for the kit not to fit. For your car, however, it would look dope
