You actually can get it with the screw driver, without taking anything off. Go in from the top, do one, then 180 and do the other. I just did it. It was fine.

Thank David - great Video, saved me a load of head scratching... Funny I've gone the other way replacing my light Wood wheel with an R Design one! Car is in Dubai so Wood burns the hands... hence trying out the R Design one... Cheers

I just completed this procedure. Did not need to remove the three screws under the steering column. The top half is all you need to remove and once you unsnap it from the shroud it pops right out. I also moved the electronic controls to the new wheel which required a couple different torx bits. Took less than an hour to complete.

Hey I know this is a long shot but I was curious if you still had that R design steering wheel and willing to sell it, my wooden steering wheel is cracked to hell. Thank you so much for these videos they been extremely helpful

Sorry, I do not see the steering wheel. I must have tossed it. I do remember that it was in really bad shape to begin with. I would call Erie Auto in NY, or L&B Auto in VA for a used replacement.

Hello :) I've got a 2005 XC90. I need to replace the switches on the right side of the airbag. The Volume up and down and the Next/Previous Track selection switches. It's all pretty much the same process as you have in your video, correct ? or are there some extra steps ?
@A_Renaissance_Man7 жыл бұрын
yepitsme99999 I am sure it is the same procedure but you might be able to replace the switches by just removing the airbag for access
