what a nightmare! I wonder why it needs a waterpump at only 54,000 km? Cant believe the engineers that design it to be so difficult to replace

Hi, hope you are well mate. Question: Considering purchasing either a 2010 VW Passat R36 wagon or Mk6 Golf R. I know its wise to buy one with a documented service history in particular the DSG/ Haldex situation. Am I better to go with a lower km example for more or a higher km version for less but the owner has paid to have the potential major worry items addressed - essentially refreshed? I know the transmissions are good for 250-300K kms before likely needing rebuilds. I ask as you may have had experience or know someone with one of these personally and I know you know your shit. Any words of wisdom appreciated. No I will not be buying (another)Subaru instead...😅
