I've got a low mile Mk7.5 manual. Thinking of upgrading everything to about 400 whp. But I want it done RIGHT. Reliable. Supported. Tasteful. Yet the rumors I read about crank-walk have me worried about the EA888 in the longer run. Evidently it can occur stock and modified, due to a somewhat poor thrust bearing design.

One more question. This kit does not come with the hardware, I saw it on the reviews. Where did you get all the bolts and the rest of the things you needed? Could you send a link? Please?

Love the review. Was already planning on going with them but glad to hear a good review on it. How many miles do you have on the setup? Also, definitely appreciate the channel, love seeing the M6 throw down with the DSG. Probably too expensive to be worth it but I'd really like to see your car on a dyno. There's a video somewhere on YT where an E85 Sneekytuned IS20 car threw down 365WHP and 450+ WTQ. I'd be interested if that was just a crazy dyno reading or if that's really how the cars are performing.
@JewelCity1

roughly 8k miles and eventually I’ll try to get it on the dyno. A good amount of e85 mk7 are around that hp output with a proper tune

Having this installed on my mk7.5 next week. Would you say removing the clutch delay valve would go nicely with it, or the feel/engagement is already improved enough if I keep it in? I have already removed the spring and installed a clutch stop.
@JewelCity1
@JewelCity1 2 жыл бұрын
The delay valve delete made a little difference imo. Mainly for the lower gears. Still noticeable but not drastic like the other shift mods

question, I have 65k miles right now on stock everything and want to upgrade to this so I can do stage 2. Would i need to replace the flywheel since my miles are pretty high?

I was planning a mild build with is38 on 93 pump gas.do u think this clutch hold up? I was looking into doing the ttrs clutch but it’s not gonna be cheap to do...I think they even recommended the sach clutch disk but using the ttrs pressure plate and flywheel.tryn to avoid the clutch chatter since it’s a daily.thanks for making this video!
@JewelCity1
@JewelCity1 3 жыл бұрын
It mainly depends on the power goal and end tq. This clutch is good for up to 400wtq (maybe a bit more if you push it). Is38 on 93 should be within that range, unless you plan on adding E85 later.

When you said the car felt very snappy 1:50 I know exactly what you mean. I have the SACHS SRE w/single mass flywheel in my MK6 GTI. My car felt the same way you described it. After 31,000km it has lost its snappiness. Can you tell me how your clutch feels now?
